She’s one of the most familiar faces on Australian television but after eight years on The Project, rumours are rife that Carrie Bickmore is preparing for a huge career change.
And it’s not just any change we’re talking about, but rather stepping into a role currently held by comedy icons Hamish Blake and Andy Lee and changing mediums from television to radio.

According to reports published by news.com.au on Wednesday morning, alongside comedian Tommy Little, who she currently co-hosts a daily 3pm show on the network with, 36-year-old Bickmore's name is currently at the top of Southern Cross Austereo’s list of potential replacements for Blake and Lee when they leave the network at the end of this year.
