Carrie Bickmore's confession to her most awkward fashion blooper proves she is all of us.

A back-to-front singlet. A tag left on. Mismatched socks. We might have been dressing ourselves since we were six, yet somehow we all still manage to stuff it up.

At least we mere mortals can now take solace in the knowledge that even sartorial goddess Carrie Bickmore cocks it up every now and then.

The Project host confessed on last night’s episode that she once hosted an entire charity event with her dress on backwards.

The 35-year-old’s admission was made out of sympathy for Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, who was recently filmed with a tell-tale tag sprouting out the front of her collar.

Carrie’s own error was unfortunately a tad more, erm, revealing.

“It was a lovely charity event and my neckline was so plunging and I remember thinking, ‘I didn’t think I was going this risque for this event’,” she told her fellow panellists.

On top of the unusual cut, the dress’ design features started to become genuine OH&S issues – “I kept tripping on the train,” Carrie laughed.

Yet despite the subtle clues, it wasn’t until after the fact that Carrie realised what had happened.

“My stylist was like, ‘Why did you wear the dress back-to-front?’ I said, ‘I don’t know! You weren’t there to dress me!’”

Don’t worry, Carrie. One unnamed Mamamia employee may or may not have recently worn her undies back to front for a decent portion of the work day.

It happens.
