Carrie Bickmore is in the thick of a messy parenting emergency that is too relatable.

The Project’s Carrie Bickmore has asked her 350,000 Instagram followers for desperate help following a toddler ’emergency’.

“Help? First the couch, then the floor, now the front door,” her latest photo caption reads.

“I thought I had hidden all the sharpies! Damn it? (how do I remove ?)”

The accompanying photograph? Black permanent marker all over a white door… The front door no less.

The individual responsible is likely her one-year-old daughter Evie Walker. Bickmore also has a son, Ollie, aged nine.

The 36-year-old had clearly tried to clean the door before posting the image – there are water droplets running between the scribbles – but to no avail.

Her followers were quick to provide some answers.

There was the usual… Jiff, eucalyptus oil, gumption.

Gumption will get it off definitely.

Jiff will get it off in a jiffy.

Such a creativity little beauty!! Magic Eraser is my life saver!!

Try eucalyptus oil. Usually gets everything out! Good luck!

Today might be the day I gobble her up ????

Then there were some not-so-usual suggestions.

My toddler used ball point pen on gloss vinyl wrap doors….hairspray got it all off.

Deodorant and a paper towel.

Nail polish remover.

Mayonnaise my friend told me this weekend. Her little girl went around the house. Her partner did it and she was amazed it worked.

And this one sage, definitely-been-there-before, comment.

Welcome to parenthood.
