5. Missy Higgins scarred by Qantas vegetarian option
Missy Higgins has ranted on Facebook about the vegetarian option she was offered on a Qantas flight. Reportedly she was disappointed by the lack of butter, margarine, cheese or chutney present on her sandwich, which she also declared inadequate saying: “two pieces of dry bread with a limp piece of lettuce, two slices of old raw capsicum, a measly piece of cucumber and three slithers of dry carrot does not a sandwich maketh.”
Higgins said that she shouldn’t be punished for choosing not to eat certain foods. The post on Facebook has garnered a massive response, with 1300 comments both congratulating her on her bravery but equally questioning the pointlessness of her first-world rant. C’mon guys, maybe she was trying to ‘steer’ Qantas in a new direction? (Sorry. Not sorry.)
