There's something very important missing from the Buffy reunion photos.

The cast of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer reunited to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary and it was five-by-five.

There were gravestones, there was Angel looking all gloomy, there were smoke machines and there was Anya, clutching a bunny.

For all the incredible behind-the-scenes Buffy stories you’ve never heard before, listen to The Binge.

Giles, played by Anthony Head, was missing, but we can only assume he’s busy doing research.

Although, if you must know the real story, Buffy, AKA Sarah Michelle Gellar, tweeted he was at a play in London.

Faith, played by Eliza Dushku, was also absent. But showing up was never really her thing.

We can thank Entertainment Weekly for organising the shoot but not for placing the characters in super love-locked poses.

Buffy appeared draped over Spike, James Masters, and Angel, David Boreanaz respectively.

The best part about Buffy was that saving the world was seen as more important than smooching hot men.

The shoot and accompanying interviews will be included in the April edition of Entertainment Weekly.

The publication is also offering fans the chance to purchase three additional limited edition covers.

Coverage around the shoot has locked onto the idea they look the same as they did 20 years ago but by golly could I not care less.

In fact, all I care about is how the shoot could be seen as long lost footage. A new episode.

One where some demon sends everybody into the future and they’re forced to make questionable fashion choices – seriously, it was like a upmarket catalogue for funeral wear.

The Buffy shoot was a brilliant way to celebrate 20 years having past since the series first aired.

We can only hope for future covers that shine light on other ’90s classics like Charmed, Seinfeld and The X-Files.
