On Monday night, some of Australia’s most high profile businesswomen and influencers descended onto Melbourne’s Crown Casino to walk the 2019 Brownlow Medal red carpet.
Oh, their AFL player partners and husbands were there too.
It’s the sport’s night of nights where the best player of the year is awarded the league’s highest honour, the Brownlow Medal. But the night is just as much about the women behind these athletes, who we only get to see for a few minutes walking down the red carpet.
But how much work and hairspray goes into getting one ready for the Brownlow? How many hours are spent behind the scenes?
To find out, we spoke to three of Australia’s best makeup artists who created the stunning beauty looks for their Brownlow clients: Chantelle Baker, Monica Gingold and Jade Kisnorbo.
Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how five of Australia’s favourite WAGs – Nadia Bartel, Emma Hawkins, Brooke Cotchin, Jessie Murphy and Brit Davis – got ready for the 2019 Brownlow red carpet.
