Suede handbags aren't a new phenomenon. They've been 'trending' for a couple of months now.

But I wasn't entirely sure my wardrobe required a brown suede bag for two reasons:

Firstly, I've been known to rush shop (and then regret) fashion trends, especially in the accessories department.

Secondly, suede isn't the most weather-appropriate material. Hence why I've avoided buying into the cute suede shoes all over my feed.

Then I spotted this $18 Kmart brown suede bag on my way to the checkout while snooping around the supposedly new beauty dupes (a tale for another day!) and it's the piece in my wardrobe I've been missing.

I immediately transferred all my work stuff into this bag and took it out for a spin.

The chocolate-berry brown hue goes with everything, and the thick-ish shoulder strap and inner pockets on both sides make it commute-appropriate.

Only problem? If you're after an affordable brown suede bag like this one, nip out to the shops ASAP because they will 100 per cent sell out.
