OH HELL NO. A bride cancelled her wedding and spent the 30k her family donated on a honeymoon.

Look, we get it.

Planning a wedding is a lot of work.

It’s time consuming, it’s incredibly stressful and it can quickly become very, very expensive.

But… that doesn’t mean that asking for donations for your dream wedding day before promptly cancelling the entire event is okay.

For one upcoming bride, this is no joke.

In a Facebook message that was screenshotted and shared on Reddit, a bride – who asked her guests for donations to pay for her upcoming wedding in December – announced that she had decided to cancel her wedding.

Except… she doesn’t plan to return their donations.

“After much reflection and tear-filled conversation with our closest family members, we have decided to cancel our upcoming winter wedding,” she wrote.

“We thank each and every one of you for your generous early donations to our money fund. Can you believe we have raised over $30,000??? Unbelievable,” she added.

“Don’t worry, the money you’ve donated will not be spent in vain but rather used towards a honeymoon in the coming months.”

…Oh.

She then shared they would announce a new wedding date after their early honeymoon, before adding they would re-open their money fund for further gifts.

Erm, really?

“We are blessed to have generous family members who gave us these large donations. It will help offset honeymoon costs and to scale to an even better future wedding,” the bride wrote.

“We really couldn’t have made it this far without you,” she added.

“In the meantime, I’ll be updating our gift fund registry on Amazon if anyone would like to gift us something to take on a honeymoon.

“We will keep you updated when we are re-opening our money fund and have a new wedding date in the works. Don’t be too sad, the new wedding is going to be a HIT.”

After sharing the announcement on Facebook, friends and family of the bride didn't exactly hold back in the comments section.

"Is this a f*cking joke??? After raking in $30,000 you decide to be greedy and use it all for yourselves," one person commented.

"What the hell is happening. Everything was fine yesterday and now you're taking a huge sum of money and ditching. It doesn't seem right," another responded.

"I took a week off work, donated $100, and now you're telling me you're going to use THIRTY THOUSAND F*CKING DOLLARS FOR A HONEYMOON... BEFORE A WEDDING??? Are you insane?" another said.

Then, to make matters even worse, the bride responded to the comments, asking her friends and family members to "please calm down".

Yep... not going to happen.

"You've whittled me away until I was shaking with tears. [Groom] had to bring me to urgent care because I felt lightheaded and distraught," the bride wrote.

"The bill came out to $765. Thank God you will be forced to pay for that with the money fund," she added.

"I will need to take an extra week off life in order to recover. I am going to embark on a social media, phone, and internet blackout. DO NOT CONTACT ME. I need to put my emotional zen first. I need to fully heal from the emotional damage I've endured as a result of the slanderous attack from my own family and friends."
