A couple complained about their 'terrible' wedding photos. Their photographer just responded.

When it comes to your wedding day, finding the right photographer is absolutely crucial. You want someone who gets your vision, whether that's Pinterest-posed and perfect or candid and au naturel. These are your forever memories we're talking about, after all.

So when a US bride was unimpressed with her wedding photos, she let her true feelings be known.

In a now-viral video, bride Austyn Mae shared what she claimed were disappointing shots from her reception — think blurry, dark images.

Austyn named and shamed photographers Madison Wood and Stephanie Lauren, complaining she "still had to pay full price" and there was "no accountability taken" by her photographers.

"What would you do in this situation," she asked in the TikTok.

But the internet wasn't exactly on her side. As the video racked up views, it turned out Austyn didn't exactly paint the full picture.

Her full wedding gallery actually contained hundreds of gorgeous, well-lit, in-focus photos. We're talking cute family photos, romantic couple pics and aesthetic decor shots — the lot.

And considering the shooting conditions (an outdoor reception with a grungy black and pink theme), the photographers did a pretty good job.

In her own video, Madison addressed the "crazy" situation, saying she was heartbroken that the bride was upset but felt completely blindsided by the online call-out. She revealed she'd been working with Austyn's mum to sort things out offline, even offering to re-edit the photos and provide raw images.

"Everything came to an agreement and then the bride posted this on TikTok," Madison explained.

She refuted Austyn's claims of contract violation and noted that while refunds weren't required under her contract, she'd offered one anyway.

While acknowledging some might not prefer the style of the specific photos Austyn shared, Madison explained the gallery included two different shooting styles. She was under the impression everything had been resolved when a friend spotted the video.

"The bride has never once contacted me since receiving these pictures," Madison said. When she reached out directly, Austyn declined the raw images, saying "she didn't think the raws would be good anyway."

"I truly do feel so bad for the bride. I have lost a lot of sleep over this. I have shed a lot of tears," Madison said.

"I just wish this was handled in such a different way. I just hope people realise this is a small business… this does not reflect who I am or my work."

The bride has since deleted her video and TikTok page.
