10 reasons why we love Brad Pitt.

How do we even introduce Brad Pitt? If our generation had an actor worthy of the title ‘film star’, he would be it. Cult classics, big blockbusters, tabloid gossip, beautiful partner, and a Chanel ad – he’s literally got it all.

So yeah. Film star. One half of Hollywood’s golden couple. Centre of endless speculation as to his (probable) upcoming nuptials  And smouldering good looks to boot.

So just for funsies, we’ve compiled the top 10 reasons we love Brad Pitt.

1. He’s the most adorable father ever to a brood of six kids: Maddox, Pax Thein, Zahara, Shiloh Nouvel, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline (try saying that in one sitting). And one of them – Knox – has taken to dressing like Dad. Can we get a collective ‘Awwww….’

2. He was in number one supporting husband mode at the World War Z premier, Angelina Jolie’s first public appearance since announcing her double mastectomy. “It means the world to me.” he said. “I have such respect for her. When she’s faced with a problem – and we’ve known this was coming for some time – and she takes it by the horns.”

3. He’s besties with George Clooney. The two starred together in the Ocean films, and have kept the bromance going ever since. George is rumoured to be best man at the Jolie-Pitt wedding, if that ever happens.

4. He made vampires sexy years before Twilight was just some dream Stephanie Meyer had. In Interview with a Vampire he plays brooding ranch owner-turned-vampire Louis, complete with coiffed hair and ruffled white shirts.

5. He brought us cult classics such as Fightclub, Se7en, and Snatch. We guarantee that even if you’ve never seen any of them, a male in your life has. And he loved it. And would then recommend you watch it immediately, because hey – they’re classics for a reason.

6. He starred in this Chanel no. 5 commercial. Brad was the first male to become the face of Chanel’s most iconic perfume. And it’s by far one of the most memorable – slight cheesiness and excess facial hair aside.

7. He had the best cameo in Friends ever. (And that’s saying something. There were a lot of amazing cameos over the 10 seasons.) Back when he and Jennifer Anniston were still married, playing Ross’s old high school buddy Will Colbert. He and Rachel totally hate each other, which is just so adorable because LIKE THEY’RE MARRIED IN REAL LIFE DON’T YOU KNOW?

Yeah, we all know how that marriage ended, but if Brad, Jennifer and Angelina can put it behind them after all this time, so can we.

8. He has the best idea ever for deciding who should win an Oscar: “I think we should just put a trophy on the table and – like one of those car contents – we should all just put our hands on it and see who can hold it the longest.” Which would be a lot more entertaining to watch that the millionth teary acceptance speech.

9. He ate Vegemite wrong. There’s a right way and a wrong way to do it. Oh Brad, there’s so much to teach you. Luckily, we’re really good at spreading the lore of Vegemite.
