1. A stowaway has plunged to his death from a British Airways plane.
British police are now investigating reports of a body found on the roof of an office in wealthy London suburb, Richmond.
The man’s body is suspected to be that of a stowaway who plunged to his death from the undercarriage of a plane from South Africa as it came in to land.
Police have arrived at this line of inquiry after a second man was found unconscious in the undercarriage of a British Airways jet from Johannesburg that had arrived at Heathrow airport.
According to the ABC, Hady Khoshkbary, who runs a printing shop near to the building in question, said: “We were very lucky that the body did not drop on the road.
“Already this is a tragedy but that would have been horrific to see this incident.”
The ABC reports that police are continuing to examine the circumstances of the incident.
“At this time there is no evidence to link the death to the discovery of a stowaway in the undercarriage of a plane at Heathrow Airport,” a statement said.
“However, this is one line of enquiry into identifying the deceased and the circumstances of his death.”
