This celebrity couple wasn't on our 2025 bingo card.

Let's play a game. I want to create the most random celebrity couples imaginable.

Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk would be rather shocking, no? How about Angelina Jolie and Leonardo DiCaprio? Absolutely not. Cynthia Nixon and Cara Delevingne would certainly raise some eyebrows.

Without rhyme or reason, certain celebrity combos feel like a mismatch. They could be from different worlds or their vibes simply don't align.

So when I tell you that controversial country singer and nepo daddy, Billy Ray Cyrus, is seemingly now dating British bombshell, Elizabeth Hurley, believe me…. I'm just as confused as you.

These two don't belong in the same sentence, let alone sharing the same photo for an Easter hard-launch of their relationship.

But alas…. here we are!

What on earth is happening here?

Let's unpack every single detail of the pic, shall we? I literally don't have anything better to do!

Firstly, Liz is dressed as a 'cool girl' cowboy: she's wearing a straw cowboy hat, a flannel shirt with jeans and her hair is braided into pigtail plaits.

Standing in a field of some sort, she looks the part. I don't know what that part is, but she looks it. I love it!

Billy is wearing a denim shirt and striped pyjama pants (??), as he wears his hair wild and tamed only by a green bunny-eared headband.

He is holding a big stick. Like, it's really big. It looks like it's part of the fence they're leaning on, but it's hard to exactly determine the stick's origin.

Billy Ray is seen kissing Liz's cheek as she gazes over his left shoulder, smiling.

The pic feels… intimate.

Like something we, perhaps, shouldn't be privy to if it weren't for the fact they BOTH shared it as a JOINT post on BOTH their Instagrams.

Choices were made that day! Okay, so how did we get here?

Cyrus and Hurley first became acquainted while working together on the 2022 holiday film Christmas in Paradise. In this holiday flick, they shared the screen alongside Kelsey Grammer, with Cyrus acting and giving a musical performance in the movie.

At the time of the film's release, Billy Ray was dating Australian singer Firerose (real name Johanna Rose Hodges).

They got married on 10 October 2023, but their marriage lasted just seven months before Billy Ray filed for divorce in May 2024, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct.

This was Billy's second divorce after he ended his marriage to Tish Cyrus in 2022 after 27 years of marriage.

Hurley has not publicly dated anyone in recent years, but is known for her celebrity exes, including Hugh Grant, Steve Bing and Arun Nayar.

But much more importantly, she did once date Australia's beloved cricketing legend Shane Warne.

In the lead-up to the Easter hard-launch, Hurley posted a video from the Maldives to her Instagram, using Cyrus' 1993 song 'She's Not Cryin' Anymore' as the soundtrack and tagging him in the post. Not subtle, babe.

So basically, these two have played the long-game since meeting in a movie, and now their achy breaky hearts are all in on this unexpected romance!

Or else, there's an Easter rom-com coming out that we've just fallen hook, line and sinker for.
