This billionaire will pay for your IVF treatment. There's just one catch.

What if I told you a billionaire is offering to pay for your IVF treatment? Yep, that's thousands of dollars worth of treatment — completely free. Zero. Zilch.

If it sounds too good to be true, that's because it is. There's just one teeny, weeny catch: you have to have his baby.

Let's take it back a few paces, shall we?

Meet Pavel Durov. He's the Russian entrepreneur behind the secure messaging platform Telegram. He is also a French citizen.

Back in 2017, Durov left Russia and moved to Dubai. His wealth quickly skyrocketed, and he was once the youngest and richest billionaire in the Middle East, according to Forbes.

As of this year, his net worth is an estimated $US15.5 billion, making him the 137th richest person in the world today, per Forbes. Not bad, right?

But here's where it gets interesting. Pavel isn't just about tech and wealth — he appears to be really into the idea of, well, spreading his genes.

The billionaire reportedly already shares five children with two ex-girlfriends. But that's not all. He claims to have at least 100 other biological children. Yep, over 100.

Give me a second to explain.

About 15 years ago, Durov donated sperm for the first time to help a friend in need.

He said the boss of the clinic told him "high quality donor material" was in short supply, and it was his "civic duty" to donate sperm to anonymously help more couples. So, of course, he stepped up to the plate.

Fast-forward to today, and Durov says his donations have helped more than 100 couples in 12 countries become parents.

"I also want to help destigmatise the whole notion of sperm donation and incentivise more healthy men to do it, so that families struggling to have kids can enjoy more options. Defy convention — redefine the norm," he said in June.

He also announced he planned to open-source his DNA, so his biological children can find each other.

Eventually, Durov stopped donating. However, one clinic still has his frozen sperm available.

And in November, Durov announced that he was offering it for free, as well as shouting the cost of IVF treatment for those who jump on the offer.

AltaVitra IVF Clinic in Moscow is offering the "one of a kind" opportunity to healthy women aged 37 and younger.

"In our clinic you can undergo IVF for free, using Pavel Durov's sperm — one of the most famous and successful entrepreneurs of our time," the clinic's website states.

"Pavel Durov is willing to finance all the IVF protocols that use his sperm. It is a very generous contribution to society from someone who wants to help those dreaming of becoming parents."

So, if you've been dreaming about having a billionaire's baby, this might just be your chance. Although, the child will have lots (and lots, and lots) of siblings).

But you'll need to get in quick — the clinic says spots are limited.
