Between the celebrity scandals and viral moments, it's been hard to keep up with the constant pop culture plot twists.

But which celebrity moments are so weird that they weren't even on our 2025 bingo card? From a Coldplay concert gone wrong to Justin Bieber 'standing on business', these are some of the weirdest and wonderfulest moments of the year.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck broke up… again.

The Bennifer romance ended AGAIN, with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez filing for divorce in January 2025.

Lopez described the split as a difficult period, telling comedian Nikki Glaser for Interview magazine that it "It almost took me out for good," but ultimately called the divorce "the best thing that ever happened to me."

Bennifer's reunion in 2021 and marriage in 2022 followed the two initially dating from 2002 to 2004 and getting engaged. But we guess the second time wasn't a charm, this time!

Adrian Brody celebrated his Oscar win by throwing his chewing gum at his wife.

Adrien Brody won his second Best Actor Oscar for The Brutalist at the Academy Awards.

As he was heading to the stage, the actor suddenly realised he was chewing gum, so he promptly turned and tossed the used gum towards his girlfriend, Georgina Chapman, who caught it.

Brody later explained he forgot he had it and needed to dispose of it before his acceptance speech.

Kendrick Lamar brought back bootcut jeans at the Super Bowl.

Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl LIX halftime performance caused a massive stir in the fashion world.

The rapper wore light-wash, flared Celine jeans which immediately went viral. Fans and critics were divided, yet the choice cemented his style icon status and propelled the divisive Y2K bootcut denim look back into the mainstream.

If you ask me, the fitted designer jeans were the MVP of the game.

Katy Perry went to space.

Katy Perry flew to the edge of space on Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin rocket in April with an all-female crew, including Lauren Sánchez and Gayle King.

The high-profile trip faced immediate backlash from critics, including other celebrities, who condemned the expensive, 11-minute mission as a grotesque display of wealth, privilege and environmental waste.

Up in space, Katy sang 'What a Wonderful World' and unveiled the setlist for her upcoming Lifetimes Tour. Floating in zero gravity, she also held up a butterfly-shaped paper revealing tracks from her album, 143.

Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson had an alleged showmance.

Rumours of a romance between Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson circulated during the July press tour for their movie, The Naked Gun.

The pair shared flirtatious red carpet moments and in one interview, Neeson claimed he was "madly in love" with his co-star. Fans quickly shipped them as a couple, and neither party denied it.

However, sources later alleged the entire thing was a 'showmance' for publicity, a claim Anderson denied, stating she never engages in PR stunts.

Justin Bieber was 'standing on business'.

Justin Bieber's phrase "It's not clocking to you that I'm standing on business," went viral in June. He was filmed confronting paparazzi outside a Malibu club, using the slang to ask for privacy.

The line was mercilessly mocked online, but Bieber had the last laugh as he included the iconic phrase in a track for his critically acclaimed album, Swag.

Jojo Siwa found herself in the centre of an international cheating scandal.

JoJo Siwa faced a huge scandal following her Celebrity Big Brother UK stint. Her closeness with Love Island UK's Chris Hughes led her Australian partner, Kath Ebbs, to accuse her of "emotional cheating" on national TV.

Ebbs was reportedly dumped by Siwa at the finale wrap party, leading to a highly public breakup that made international headlines.

Siwa denied any physical infidelity, and she and Hughes have since hard-launched their relationship.

A Coldplay concert exposed a cheating couple to the world.

At a Coldplay concert in July, a massive scandal unfolded when Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR Chief Kristin Cabot.

The twosome appeared sheepish and hid when featured on the kiss cam. "Oh, what? Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy," singer Chris Martin joked.

It turned out the pair, both married to other people, had been exposed for having a potential affair to thousands in the audience. Footage of the moment quickly went viral, leading to massive fallout for both executives as millions around the world viewed the footage.

Andy Byron later resigned from his position at Astronomer and soon after, Martin's ex, Gwyneth Paltrow, did a hilarious ad for the brand.

Pete Davidson is settling down.

Comedian Pete Davidson announced he was expecting his first child with model Elsie Hewitt, whom he has been publicly dating since March 2025.

Hewitt announced the pregnancy in July, joking, "Welp now everyone knows we had sex."

The announcement came as a surprise as Davidson is known for his romances with high-profile exes like Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian and Emily Ratajkowski.

Davidson called fatherhood his "dream" and the new chapter is all that "really matters" when appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

The Australian Twinnies went viral.

The Aussie twins known as the Twinnies, identical sisters Bridgette and Paula Powers, went viral over a news interview about their mother witnessing a carjacking.

The Queensland twins stunned viewers by speaking almost perfectly in unison, completing each other's sentences with mirrored hand gestures, as they reenacted "Run, he's got a gun!"

Despite claims that the synchronicity was fake, the sisters insisted it was an unconscious trait from their close bond. They were even invited on US talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, to talk about their synchronised speaking style.

Matt Rife bought the haunted house from The Conjuring.

Comedian Matt Rife purchased the infamous haunted house that inspired The Conjuring franchise. The Rhode Island home's current owners, who host tours, confirmed Rife's bid.

The comedian stated he bought it as a joke and plans to move in, but added that his mother is freaking out over the 300-year-old property's terrifying history of alleged paranormal activity.

Kim Kardashian released a line of merkins.

Kim Kardashian's SKIMS released a faux pubic hair micro-string thong called The Ultimate Bush in October.

The underwear, which functions as a modern merkin, featured twelve different hair colours and textures. The divisive line instantly went viral and sold out within hours.

Sydney Sweeney's jeans commercial was accused of promoting eugenics.

Sydney Sweeney's viral commercial for American Eagle jeans drew outrage in late 2025. The ad campaign featured close-ups of Sweeney's body as she says:

"Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye colour," she said in the ad. "My jeans are blue."

Critics widely condemned the imagery and slogan as promoting eugenics and white supremacy. In response to the controversy, Sweeney delivered a tepid response to GQ.

"I did a jean ad," Sydney stated. "I mean, the reaction definitely was a surprise. But I love jeans. All I wear are jeans!"

Katy Perry started dating ex-Canadian PM, Justin Trudeau.

Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sparked dating rumours in November after Perry's July split from Orlando Bloom after nine years together.

The breakup was reportedly amicable as they prioritised co-parenting their daughter, Daisy Dove. Trudeau, who separated from his wife in 2023, was spotted on a series of dates with Perry.

They officially debuted their romance in Paris in October 2025, celebrating her birthday at the Crazy Horse cabaret.
