Attention, lovers: The best wedding reception venues in Australia have been crowned.

Finding your perfect wedding reception venue is key to planning the best day for you and your wedding guests.

And if you’re an Adelaide local, you’re in luck: your city’s very own Glenelg Golf Club has just been named the best club reception venue in the country.

It beat popular South Australian and interstate clubs to win the coveted award at the Australian Bridal Industry Academy’s 2017 Designer of Dreams Awards.

And if you’re not based in the garden state, there’s plenty of award-winning venues throughout the country.

For Victorians the Zonzo Estate in the Yarra Valley won the award for the Best Restaurant Reception Venue.

Bram Leigh Receptions, based in Croydon, took out the top prize in the Reception Centre category, while the Portsea Hotel was named the best Hotel Reception.

Across the border, NSW’s Bonville Golf Resort won the award for the best Resort/Motel Reception.

Over in Queensland, the Maleny Manor was named the second best Reception Centre in the country.

The Designer of Dreams Awards also acknowledge the best dress designers, wedding photographers and caterers throughout Australia.
