The best suede pieces to add to your wardrobe now, according to a personal stylist.

I've been patiently waiting for this trend to make its full-circle comeback, and finally, it's here. Suede is about to be everywhere. If you've noticed a steady rise in suede sightings, trust me, it's not just your imagination! It's a full-blown suede resurgence, and I, for one, am fully on board.

The best part? Unlike those trends that fizzle out faster than my phone battery, suede has staying power. Yes, it may dip in and out of fashion cycles, sure, but it never really goes away.

And it also turns out past me was very wise for holding onto a few suede treasures.

The best part? You don't have to wait for the temperature drop to start incorporating suede. It's perfect for transitional dressing, think lightweight suede sandals, or even a buttery suede bag to bring a little early autumn energy to your look.

Still need convincing? Copenhagen Fashion Week (my personal fave) just wrapped up and was practically a suede love letter. And then New York Fashion Week followed suit, because of course it did.

If suede isn't already on your radar, consider this your sign. Whether you're starting small with accessories or going all in with a statement piece, there's no shortage of suede to choose from. Here are my top picks for suede pieces to shop right now.

A.EMERY The Brie Flat in Sienna Suede, $240.

Ballet flats have been making the rounds again, but this time, we're seeing a lot more variety in shape. If you're like me and love a sleek, almond toe option over a round style, A.EMERY's Brie Flat is a winner. The soft suede gives it a luxe feel and it's a perfect way to add texture to your look in a subtle, effortless way

Meshki Suede Bomber Jacket, $199.

When we're talking outerwear and suede, it usually comes with a decent price tag, but this Meshki bomber gives off that luxe look without breaking the bank. There's a rich chocolate or a sand shade that makes it a dream to pair back and layer over just about anything.

Think jeans, skirts, dresses and your favourite basics. And if you think about cost per wear, this one practically pays for itself. The girl math is mathing…

Sussan Faux Suede Tote Bag, $49.95.

I keep saying this, but Sussan's accessories are so underrated. If you want to test the suede trend without fully committing, this affordable tote is your way in. It's got that effortless, slouchy feel that makes any outfit look a little more put together, and at this price, it's basically a no-brainer.

EMU Australia Monch Slippers, $119.94.

Comfort meets casual meets style with these EMU Australia suede slippers.

They've got that "I just threw this on, but make it chic" energy that's perfect with relaxed denim or even loungewear.

Oh, and bonus points? They're Aussie-made and handcrafted in Geelong (which also happens to be where I live, so I might be a little bias).

But honestly for the price point, natural fibres and also Australian-made, it's pretty good darn value if you ask me.

The easiest way to elevate a simple outfit? The right accessories. This Henne suede belt in tan is in my cart and let's be real, not for long. The soft suede and classic design make it the perfect piece to amp up your wardrobe staples. It is truly one of those pieces that I cannot stop thinking about.

Dissh Handrix Pampas Suede Jacket, $399.99.

If you want to give your basics a serious upgrade, this suede blazer from Dissh is it. There's just something about suede that instantly makes an outfit feel more polished and put together. Throw the blazer over a white tee and denim, and suddenly, you look like you have your life together (I guess I better get one then).

Betts Noosa Leather Sandal, $109.99.

The beauty of suede's resurgence is that you can embrace it right now, no chilly weather required. These Betts sandals are the perfect example. With their buttery soft suede and minimalist design, they're the kind of timeless piece that'll carry you through seasons without dating.

Lack of Color The Mirage Teak, $149.

I'm a huge hat lover, and this Lack of Color piece is perfect if you want to ease into the suede trend. The subtle suede trim adds just the right amount of texture without feeling too heavy. The rancher style is a signature for Lack of Color, and with so many colours to choose from (I already own it in black, pink, and chocolate…oops), I'm seriously tempted to add this tonal suede version to the collection.
