How does flying affect your skin?
Between cabin pressure, bone-dry air, and long hours in the sky, it's no wonder we arrive at our destination looking like a tired, flaky version of ourselves.
"During flights, our skin can face several challenges due to the unique environment inside an aircraft cabin," said Virgin Australia Perth Cabin Crew Member, Talesha Daniels.
Basically, the pressurisation of the cabin can lead to dehydration, "which can strip the moisture out of the skin leading to dryness, tightness and flakiness".
"This is especially prevalent when travelling on international flights to some of our existing routes, including Bali and Fiji, or our new routes to Europe when the duration of the flights are longer," said Talesha.
