I swear, my brain feels like it's melting from the sheer volume of incredible TV hitting our screens lately. Seriously, the algorithm is working overtime.

As your official resident couch potato and professional TV reviewer, I've been wading through the new releases and the unexpected returning seasons to compile a list of the shows you might have scrolled past but absolutely need to be watching right now. These are the ones dominating the group chats.

Before we dive in, a quick note: if you're doing this binge-watching thing right, you need a decent companion drink. I've been keeping Posca Hydrate on rotation. The mix of electrolytes and prebiotics provides hydration support without the sugar hit. It's also a sparkling, sugar-free drink. They have flavours like yuzu, grape, or pineapple available, which gives you a great balance of sweet and sour options to choose from. Hydration sorted? Cool.

Let's talk TV.

Black Rabbit.

If you're into that whole "rich people with dark secrets" vibe — and honestly, who isn't? — then you need to press play on Black Rabbit. The story kicks off when a successful but estranged businessman has his life completely upended by the sudden arrival of his chaotic and manipulative brother. This reunion forces them to confront a dark family secret involving a mysterious death from their past, which quickly drags them into a high-stakes, international conspiracy.

It's a twisty, high-stakes thriller built around a deeply dysfunctional sibling relationship.

I Love LA.

If you're "chronically online," you need this show.

I Love LA is the dark, self-aware comedy that satirises Gen Z ambition and hustle culture in the city of angels. The plot centres on Maia, an aspiring talent manager, whose life is thrown into chaos when her estranged college best friend, Tallulah, a rising social media influencer, shows up and becomes her client.

It's all about their codependent professional relationship and how they (and their messy friend group, featuring a celebrity stylist and a 'nepo baby') navigate the bizarre, anxiety-inducing world where a TikTok can make or break you.

Nobody Wants This Season 2.

Thank goodness this show is back. The first season followed the highly unlikely but charming relationship between a secular, commitment-phobic podcast host (Joanne) and an observant, recently-divorced Rabbi (Noah).

Nobody Wants this Season 2 throws them into the next, predictably complicated phase: trying to figure out how to merge their two radically different worlds — including their families, traditions, and expectations — after making a major commitment to each other.

But don't worry, while the issues they tackle this season have changed, the show still has the same charm and insane chemistry that captured our hearts the first time around.

IT: Welcome To Derry.

Yes, another IT story, but stick with me. This prequel, IT: Welcome To Derry, goes back to the 1960s to explore the town's history and how Pennywise came to be such a terrifying fixture.

The plot follows a group of kids in the town of Derry who start to experience strange, terrifying phenomena, linking the seemingly peaceful town to an ancient, shape-shifting evil.

It's a deep, atmospheric dive into horror, detailing the decades of trauma and mystery tied to that infamous killer clown.

All's Fair.

Forget everything you know about boring legal dramas, because this is camp.

All's Fair is Ryan Murphy's high-gloss, ultra-dramatic series that follows an all-female law firm in Los Angeles specialising in high-stakes, messy divorces for the ultra-rich.

The plot tracks the firm's founders — including Allura Grant (played by Kim Kardashian), a powerhouse lawyer whose own marriage to a famous athlete is falling apart — as they manage explosive cases, fight a ruthless rival attorney, and navigate the scandalous secrets of LA's elite.

Now, I know the reviews have been, well… questionable. And I am by no means saying this is the best show in the world. Far from it. But it's the kind of trashy, fun drama that you'll binge in one sitting.

I'll admit it's more about the fashion and silliness than the courtroom procedure, and honestly, that's the point.

Wayward.

This is one for the truly in-the-know crowd.

Wayward is a psychological thriller set in 2003 in the eerie, secluded town of Tall Pines, Vermont. The plot centres on the sinister Tall Pines Academy, a "therapeutic" boarding school run by the terrifyingly charismatic Evelyn Wade (Toni Collette).

We follow a new police officer, Alex (Mae Martin), who starts investigating a string of teen runaways, only to find his pregnant wife, Laura, has deep and complicated ties to the school's cult-like past. Meanwhile, two newly incarcerated teens, Abbie and Leila, attempt to escape the school's psychological torture and mind-control methods.

Toni Collette is clearly having the time of her life, being utterly terrifying, and the creepy cult vibes will keep you up all night.

The Girlfriend.

If you need a tight, psychological drama, look no further. The Girlfriend is the definition of Oedipal nightmare meets domestic thriller. The story centres on Laura, a wealthy, possessive mother still reeling from a childhood loss, who becomes convinced her adult son Daniel's new girlfriend, Cherry, is a dangerous gold-digger with a dark past. Their rivalry quickly escalates into an all-out war of manipulation, lies, and emotional abuse, culminating in a violent confrontation where Daniel is forced to make a shocking, fatal choice between the two women.
