We wrote about this $49 perfume dupe and now it's flying off shelves.

It seems we're all on the perfume dupes trend, and I can totally see why.

Smelling good is, at this point, a fashion right — a good perfume completes an outfit —  but it's not uncommon for a luxe and long-lasting perfume to cost upwards of $400. My eyes are bulging out of my head as we speak.

Obviously, my bank account says no to such tomfoolery, but I still crave smelling so good that I turn heads on the street.

So, earlier in the year, I shared my edit of affordable perfume dupes, which will leave you smelling like your fave scents without having to sell your firstborn.

Watch: How to make your perfume last longer. Post continues below.

In the round-up, we included a dupe of my favourite perfume ever, Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc, which retails at an eye-watering $410 for 50ml — OUCH — and it seems like you guys loved it because it is flying off the shelves, according to our stats.

I don't blame you — Àerre Daydreamer's cardamom, jasmine and coconut scent is from the heavens above and being able to nab it for just $49 is such a steal. This perfume is summer in a bottle.

But this got me thinking — clearly perfumes are having a moment right now, and clearly we all need some affordable options. So, why not find you a bunch of affordable dupes of similarly popular scents, so that everyone's happy?

Here are 11 affordable perfume dupes of expensive and luxe scents, so you can smell just as good as perfume influencers without having to break the bank.

Kayali Vanilla 28 dupe.

Kayali Vanilla 28 is the perfume for gourmand girlies, but it's also got a bit more complexity to it thanks to its jasmine understones. The perfume retails for $235 for 100ml, but luckily for you, I know where you can get it for a lot less.

Vanilla Delight by Hideaway, $30-$100.

I know you might be thinking that $100 is a lot for a dupe, but Vanilla Delight is pretty much permanently on sale for $30. I was keeping an eye on it for months before I bought it, and it (along with all the other Hideaway perfumes) stayed $30 the entire time.

The dupe itself smells amazing — it has that classic vanilla scent with amber undertones, but the jasmine is what's special here. It elevates the perfume from what could be a quite young, girly scent to something a bit more sophisticated.

And yes, it lasts a long time — I can still smell it on a jumper I wore three days ago!

Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe.

Tom Ford Lost Cherry is a cult classic — not everyone loves it, but those that do are die-hard fans.

It's a warm and sweet gourmand scent, with sharp and bitter undertones of black cherry and almond, and then a base of Turkish rose and jasmine. I am honestly drooling — or I was, until I saw that it costs $575 for 50mL.

Velvet Underground by Áerre, $55.

Much like Daydreamer, Àerre is also beloved for its other Tom Ford dupes, including it's dupe of Lost Cherry. It is one of the most popular scents on the website, and the reviews are glowing!

Àerre also sells dupes of other Tom Ford scents, including Black Orchid (Àerre's Winter Fireworks), Oud Wood (Àerre Forest Spice), and Tobacco Vanille (Àerre Amber Haze), so go ham on a combo and try all your faves without spending literal thousands.

Also,a small side note: if you love cherry scents, The 7 Virtues' Cherry Ambition is my favourite cherry perfume of all time. It smells incredible and lasts forever, is not a dupe and you can tell because it smells way too luxe. And you can get a 10ml spray for $44 if you want to try it out before committing! This brand's Coconut Sun is also pretty similar to Soleil Blanc and lasts longer than 'dupes' since it's its own thing!

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium dupe.

Black Opium is a scent I never stop hearing about or seeing — it stalks me!

It's in every window front, and every TikTok round-up, and all of my friends are buying it or trying dupes of it — more likely the latter because the recommended retail price is $205.

The notes of coffee, orange blossom, vanilla and white florals are honestly a match made in heaven, so no wonder it's so addictive!

Ambery Vanilla by Dossier, $49.

Look, I'll be honest with you — pretty much every dupe brand out there has a version of YSL's Black Opium. However, this one has the best ratings (4.5 stars, out of 7,100 reviews) so you're in pretty good hands!

Dior J'adore dupe.

I feel like J'adore was really big a few years ago but isn't as popular these days, which is a shame because this scent is still iconic to me! I once got through an entire 50ml bottle in three months because I was practically bathing in it, which obviously is not sustainable given it costs $130 for just 30ml.

I gave up on the scent for this reason — I knew it wouldn't last in my home — but I recently found a dupe and now my love affair is rekindled, because I know I can afford to spray it as much as I want.

Cult Fragrances 172, $75.

I am not joking; when I spritzed the sample for this scent I audibly gasped. This is the exact and most perfect dupe I have come across for any scent, ever.

It is totally indistinguishable from the real thing to me, with the Turkish Damascus rose, pear and blackberry notes really coming through.

The 50ml bottle costs less than half of the price of the OG, and Cult Fragrances frequently has sales and bundle deals, so you can save even more (I once bought a bundle of eight 5ml samples for only $64).

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle dupe.

Coco Mademoiselle is one of those scents that everyone knows.

Even if you hadn't heard of it before (which is unlikely), chances are you've caught a whiff of its fresh, feminine and citrusy scent on a chic woman at work or someone you've shared an elevator with.

It really is that much of a signature scent, which isn't a surprise given its notes of orange, peach and vanilla. Simply perfect — so it's unsurprising that it retails at around $255 for 100ml.

Áerre Sunset in Paris, $39.

Unsurprisingly, Àerre has yet again come through with a great dupe. This scent is rated an average of 4.7/5 stars from 1,102 reviews and has been praised for its close impersonation. Mademoiselle wearers who have worn the scent exclusively for decades say they're pretty much the same.

Georgio Armani Sì dupe.

The modern and feminine Georgio Armani Sì has been a hit with perfume girlies on TikTok, so of course dupes are popping up all over. Its fruity and floral notes of blackcurrant, rose and vanilla make it a crowd pleaser and best-seller, despite its $200 (100ml) price point.

Cult Fragrances 193, $75.

Honestly, you really can't go wrong with Cult Fragrances. I've tried around 10 scents from this Aussie brand based on the South Coast, and all of them were excellent. (Also, the shipping is almost impossibly fast.)

Le Labo Santal 33 dupe.

Le Labo is a favourite perfumerie of celebrities, with Santal 33 being favoured by Sophie Turner, Alexa Chung, Jodie Comer and Justin Bieber. In fact, there's an entire Reddit thread about how everyone in New York smells like this $535 (100ml) scent, so of course, there's a dupe.

Áerre Joshua Tree, $49.

This unisex scent is all about sandalwood and creamy cardamom.

It's sophisticated, luxurious and clean — gorgeous!

Tom Ford Bitter Peach dupe.

I know we've already included four Tom Ford dupes, but this list would not be complete without Bitter Peach (which retails for $575 for 50ml, FYI).

Alt Fragrances Peach Smash, $75.

Alt Fragrances is one of the OG perfume houses to get on the dupe trend, so it's no surprise that it's one of the few that have created a version of Bitter Peach.

I don't know why it's so hard to find dupes of this particular scent — maybe because its fresh, juicy peach notes are hard to replicate — but by jove, they've done it!
