I'm just going to come out and say it: I'm a minimalist girly.
A basic blue jean apologist. A white-tee-five-ways type of woman. A "yes these pants are technically taupe but let's not get crazy" kind of dresser.
I don't like loud colours. I fear bold prints. And I would never, ever wear chartreuse on purpose.
And when it comes to sneakers? You'll never spot me in anything with a pop of neon or even a logo that looks as though it's been dipped in primary paint.
Watch: Have you heard of the 'wrong shoe' theory? Post continues after video.
Yes, I am a neutral sneaker purist. White, beige, tan, bone, oat, sand — if it sounds like a Dulux paint swatch or an overpriced milk alternative at a fancy café, I'm in.
Because here's the thing: as a minimalist and a lazy dresser (a winning combo for a lifestyle writer, don't you think?) I know a good pair of neutral sneakers will go with everything.
