If there's one thing we love doing on the You Beauty podcast, it's pestering some of the biggest experts in the beauty industry and asking them if we can take a peek inside their skincare cabinets. But also, their brains (over tea and biscuits, of course).
So, when we had the chance to sit down with Shinta Huynh, a leading product developer known for her work on some of the world's biggest brands and cult beauty buys, you're going to bet we had precisely all of the questions for her. (You can listen to the full episode here).
Watch: Speaking of You Beauty, check out Leigh Campbell trialling the 'diamond lips' hack. Post continues below.
As a formulator, Shinta is behind the innovation and creation of some of the most popular skincare products.
"I am constantly surrounded by innovations, packaging, formulas and it's so hard not to try all these different things," she told us on the podcast. "But for me, what has really helped is just tailoring my skincare routine."
"I have quite sensitive skin and I've got eczema. So I'm all about achieving a healthy microbiome or achieving a healthy skin barrier. I'll always try a new product, but I'm always focusing on feeding my skin with the right ingredients it needs."
