RANKED: The fictional dreamboats who have ruined thousands of relationships.

There’s nothing wrong with finding Aladdin hot… NOTHING.

We all love a fictional man. Maybe it’s because, when they’re portraying a character in a movie, they don’t have time to be assholes or make sexist gaffs or pretend they don’t believe in feminism. Or the fact that, you know, someone made ’em up.

So this week, we’ve listed our favourite fictional male crushes from movies. Next week, we’ll be doing the same for our favourite beautiful, kick-ass female characters.

Related: 11 stars we met as children, and are oddly attracted to now they’re grown up.

Here is our definitive list of fictional male characters. Make sure you add yours in the comments below.

13. Solomon Northup, 12 Years A Slave

Brave, strong, persistent in the face of horrible things… Solomon was a great guy. And sexy.

12 Years A Slave. Obviously.

12. James Bond as portrayed by Daniel Craig, James Bond

All the James Bond men are attractive, but Daniel Craig is topping this list. He’s a spy, and he’s good. He’s a good spy. What more could we want?

11. Noah Calhoun, The Notebook

Obviously Ryan Gosling’s character had to make this list. He wrote 365 letters to Rachel McAdams. He never gave up on their true love. Swoon.

10. Jack Dawson, Titanic

He still loved Rose until the end, even when she wouldn’t move her butt over and give him some room on that board. Why did you have to die, Jack?

RIP Jack.

9. Legolas, The Lord of The Rings

There’s something about the long hair, the elf-ness and the magic powers that just work for us.

8. Mikey, That Awkward Moment

Portrayed by the wonderful Michael B. Jordan, Mikey was a character that was always loyal to his friends and always so sweet to women, even when they broke his heart. You go, Mikey.

Mikey, in an awkward moment.

7. Four, Divergent

Aside from his ridiculous good looks, he always goes above and beyond to protect those he cares about. He’s a top bloke.

6. Luke Collins, The Longest Ride

The boyish, old-school charm is enough for us, but then he went and organised flowers and a picnic for a first date. Call us romantics, but our entire office swooned over his charm.

Luke Collins forever.

5. Augustus Waters, The Fault In Our Stars

Gus, portrayed by Ansel Elgort, was the dream character until he (spoiler alert)….

died. He always put Hazel first, even going as far as to give up his wish for a three-day trip to Amsterdam. He then rounded it off by writing a eulogy for Hazel, after he died. RIP, Gus.

4. Cedric Diggory, Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire

He’s a Hufflepuff, which means he’s got all the best qualities around. He won’t break your heart, and if you both find yourselves up against Voldemort, he’ll sacrifice himself for you.

Cedric Diggory.

3. Troy Bolton, High School Musical

Nothing better than a jock turned music lover who knows all about sacrifice and treating people right. He’s also great at Karaoke.

We miss Troy Bolton.

2. John Bender, The Breakfast Club

The bad guy turned good. ‘Nuff said.

1. Aladdin, Aladdin

Call me crazy, but Aladdin is easily one of the most attractive male characters of all time. His transformation from dirty street-urchin/thief to all-round wonderful guy can’t be forgotten, either.

Aladdin, obviously.
