Welcome to the Nothing To Wear Edit where each week we curate the best picks from the topic we spoke about on the podcast. Listen to the full episode here.
On this week's episode of Nothing To Wear I chat to the hilarious and humble Paige Carmichael. Paige is a huge fan of a two-piece set, or co-ord set, or 'separates' as some brands call them.
They're essentially a top and bottom designed to work together, so while they make planning an outfit as easy as picking a dress, the separate nature of the two pieces means they can be mixed and matched back with the rest of your wardrobe. Paige offered some great advice and handy tips for getting the most out of your sets on the podcast.
Watch: Shirt Tucking Hack. Post continues after podcast.
Some brands sell co-ords as the one thing, meaning the price tag is for both pieces and (generally) the top and the bottoms are the same size. Other labels give you the option to buy them both separately, or one or the other.
I have a few two-piece sets but I sometimes feel like I'm wearing fancy pyjamas outside of the house. I think it's maybe because the ones I own are casual, or printed shorts with a tee or shirt. I still love them, but I often find myself breaking them up with crisp white or denim.
After doing some virtual window shopping (in the name of research) I'm pleased to report I've pulled together an edit of the best sets, so you don't have to go hunting. Some are sold as such while others are sold separately, and with these styles you won't look like you forgot to get changed before leaving the house.
