LEIGH CAMPBELL: 'The $20 setting spray that works better than this cult $52 version.'

If there's one person who can spot a banger beauty bargain from a mile away, it's our friend Leigh Campbell. And more often than not, she's been known to make products *literally* sell out.

So when she recently declared she'd found a $20 setting spray that's better than Charlotte Tilbury's cult-favourite Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray (which, for reference, will set you back $52), we immediately stopped what we were doing and listened.

On a recent episode of You Beauty, resident beauty expert Leigh shared her thoughts on what might be the beauty discovery of 2025 — and it all started with a Mamamia article.

Watch: Speaking of You Beauty, here's Em Vernem trying the viral foundation whisking hack. Post continues below.

"I read about this product on a fantastic website — mamamia.com.au," Leigh shared on the podcast. And omg, we've heard of that site too! Exceptional stuff.

"One of our contributors wrote an article that I clicked on so fast. It was called, ''I thought makeup setting sprays were a scam — until I tried this $26 one.' And I was like, 'Click, purchase, try, and now you love.'"

The product Leigh speaks of? The Tir Tir Mask Fit Makeup Fixer. A K-Beauty goodie, it touts itself as a waterproof and sweat-proof setting spray that releases a fine mist to set and prolong makeup wear without leaving skin feeling oily or sticky. Packed with cica ingredients to calm your skin, it's supposed to be great for all skin types — even sensitive-skinned girlies.

Here's what it looks like:

At just $20.95, it's significantly cheaper than most setting sprays on the market — but according to Leigh, it performs better than its expensive counterparts.

"It's better than Charlotte Tilbury. I'll put it out there," she declared.

*Audible gasps.*

Why Tir Tir Mask Fit Makeup Fixer is a game-changer.

If you're not familiar with setting sprays, they're designed to keep your makeup in place throughout the day. But as anyone who's tried their fair share knows, not all formulas are created equal. Some can leave your skin feeling sticky or tight, while others seem to do approximately nothing/make your makeup just look like a weird patchy mess.

The Tir Tir spray, however, seems to tick all the boxes.

"They say it's got a long-lasting fix, so it's a strong fixing effect that keeps your makeup in place all day. Even application. I agree," Leigh explained. "They say sweatproof and waterproof, which I believe because I feel like the Korean skincare people are leading the way in sort of humidity and elegant [formulations]."

But what really sets this spray apart (pun intended) is its ability to enhance your makeup without making your skin feel uncomfortable.

"It's not sticky, it's not oily. You can't even feel it," Leigh noted. "It's calming and soothing and it makes you look plump and juicy, but not like you put water on your face."

In other words? "It sets, it fixes, it smooths, it's delicious."

The affordable find comes from the same Korean beauty brand behind the viral cushion foundation that took over TikTok last year. And while we might be sceptical of most viral beauty products, Korean beauty brands have earned their reputation for innovative, effective formulations.

While Leigh can't verify the 24-hour wear claim (she said she never really needs her makeup to last 24 hours, and honestly… same?), she maintains this is one of the best setting sprays she's tried — and at this price point, it's worth giving it a go.

The verdict? If you're looking for where you can skimp a little in your routine and are tired of spending big bucks on setting sprays that don't deliver, this might be your new holy grail. Just don't blame us when it sells out.
