Hi guys and welcome back to Best and Worst of the week.
If you haven’t seen this post before, it’s our Friday ritual at Mamamia where we take a moment to reflect on the past seven days.
So the big news this week is Australia got a new Prime Minister but if you’re not a political beast this is the place for us to get together and chat about other stuff. The best and worst parts of our week, no matter how big or small. Then with that off our chests we can drink wine Friday night and not burden our friends with our whinging.
I’ll kick us off. I like to start with worst so I can end on a positive note.
WORST:
I can’t remember the last time I was this stressed. I’m moving house, I’ve quit full time work and I’m starting a new business and I’m planning my wedding which is only five weeks away. Now they are all good, happy things but it doesn’t take a psychologist to work out they are pretty high on the stress scale.
On Sunday, I sat in the middle of my apartment with a chaos of boxes around me and had a good old cry. Then I went to the shops and bought a block of chocolate and ate it all. It was a family sized block. I eat my feelings. Yep that bride diet is NOT going that well.
BEST:
Moving house is a great opportunity to do a spring clean and cull a lot of unnecessary stuff. I was brutal when I went through my wardrobe and ended up with five garbage bags of clothes to give to charity. But as charity begins at home I took the bags in to Mamamia first and there were squeals of joy from the other girls.
