Welcome to Best and Worst of the Week.
If you’re new like me (I’ve just started as an intern here at Mamamia), this is what you need to know: Best and Worst is one of our favourite parts of the site where we can all catch up and share the good, bad and anything in between with each other. You can sound off on the news, get a bad day off your chest or share your proud moments. We’re here to hear it all.
Here’s how I’m feeling about the week that has just been…
Best: Spending time with my niece Ally yesterday. Ally was too unwell for preschool so spent the day camped out on the lounge with me. We watched Disney Junior, talked about her sisters and ate yummy sandwiches.
It was very relaxing, which is not normal for Ally. She’s very adventurous, and has more energy than you can keep up with. Ally is also quite honestly the funniest child I know, and she’s not even 4 yet. Some of Ally’s best quotes from our day together included telling me ‘Zoee, we are both LOTS sick today so it’s good that we are together so other people don’t get sick’, and ‘I have snot coming out of my nose, Mummy calls it mucus but I like saying snot much better’.
Worst: I’m pretty crook at the moment. It is a miracle I made it into the Mamamia office today as I’ve had the last two days off uni and work. It has put me in a really bad mood because I like being on top of things. When I’m sick I have no energy, no enthusiasm and feel like everything just isn’t running smoothly.
* As I’ve been writing this post, the Mamamia office has been intently watching the Labor leadership spill coverage on the TV. If you’re up for it, you can read about what happened and share your thoughts on the Australian political landscape here.
So, now it’s your turn. What is your best and worst this week?
