Breakfast TV baby news!

Congratulations Ben and Jodie!

Radio host and Today sports presenter Ben Fordham and his wife, Seven News reporter Jodie Speers, are officially having a baby.

Sydney Morning Herald reported the news on Saturday, but Fordham, 37, confirmed the news on the Today show this morning.

He announced that Speers was 24 weeks pregnant with the couple’s first child, and the show broadcast a 3D ultrasound photo of the unborn baby.

Fordham took to social media with the happy news at about 7:45am, tweeting: “My amazing wife @JodieSpeers and I are having a baby and we’re pretty excited.”

Asked by fellow presenters on this morning’s show if he was accepting baby gifts yet, Fordham jokingly replied: “Sure”.

When asked what he was asking for, Fordham responded: “Just some advice. If you’ve got some advice that’s all I’m after.”

Earlier this year it Fordham announced that he would leave Channel Nine’s Today after four years on the program.

He’ll finish up at the end of the year.

At the time of the announcement Fordham  told The Australian: “Jodie has been incredibly understanding with my work arrangement but I need to be a bit realistic about what I can do and how long I can do it.”

The good news is that unlike other new dads, Ben is already accustomed to the 4am wake ups.

While we’re on the topic, here are a few of our favourite celebrity baby pictures:
