Woman suffering late stage ovarian cancer had one dying wish. NRL star Beau Ryan made it come true.

Former NRL star and host of The Footy Show, Beau Ryan has made the dying wish of a 22-year-old Sydney woman come true, rushing to her bedside on Tuesday evening.

Kia Lettice is suffering from late-stage ovarian cancer and on Tuesday night was told she had just hours left to live.

Stepping in to help make the final hours count, Lettice's friend Mahalia Murphy posted a cry for help to Facebook at around 8pm.

"URGENT REQUEST!!! Any assistance to boost my friend up? She is currently in Prince of Wales hospital and has roughly four hours to live as she's fighting cancer," the post read.

"She wants Greg Inglis or Beau Ryan To come see her. If everyone can share this or get in contact for me this would be much appreciated."

After nearly 700 shares and additional call outs, the message reached Ryan.

"Leaving Shellharbour now!" Ryan commented on Murphy's post. "See you in two hours. Tell her to stay strong."

True to his word, Ryan arrived just hours later, spending precious time with Lettice at her bedside, where she was surrounded by family, friends and her boyfriend, who had all rushed to be by her bedside for her final hours.

Posting photos of Ryan and Lettice to Facebook just after 10pm, Murphy wrote, "Thanks to everyone for making this special moment happen. Beau Ryan you are a true legend man. Can't thank you enough for this moment."

Ryan also shared a photo of himself with Lettice, which has since received almost 40,000 likes.

Speaking to The Daily Mail following the call-out, Lettice's relative Jarrod said that Ryan's presence had an immediate effect.

"You were able to see it, her eyes opened up more, she was sitting up actually taking photos and smiling."

Lettice was also able to speak to Greg Inglis, who was in Queensland and unable to make the last-minute late night journey.

"She talked to Greg Inglis [on the phone]," Jarrod continued, adding, "he’s in Queensland but he said he will come and see her when he's back and Ryan said he'll make some time to come back and visit her again."

Incredibly, the visit seems to have done the trick in lifting Lettice's spirits for a little bit longer.
