The 2026 BAFTA Film Awards nominations are here, and once again, Australians are making their mark on the international stage.
Rose Byrne and Jacob Elordi are leading the charge, representing the nation in two of cinema's most coveted acting categories.
Byrne, fresh off her Golden Globe win, has been nominated for Leading Actress for her performance in If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, while Elordi earned a Supporting Actor nod for his transformative role as Frankenstein's creature in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.
This year's nominations are dominated by a mix of powerhouse performances and bold storytelling.
Paul Thomas Anderson's action-packed dark comedy One Battle After Another topped the list with 14 nominations, including a Leading Actor nod for Leonardo DiCaprio.
Ryan Coogler's Sinners followed closely with 13 nominations, highlighting Michael B. Jordan's standout turn.
Hamnet, the fictionalised story of Shakespeare's family tragedy, received 11 nods, including Best Film, Leading Actress for Jessie Buckley and Supporting Actor for Paul Mescal.
While Wicked: For Good faced an upset with no Oscar nominations, it did score eight nominations at the BAFTAs, including leading and supporting actress, original score, costume design and make-up and hair.
The winners will be revealed at the ceremony in London on Monday, February 23, Australian time, offering a first major glimpse of who might dominate the awards season ahead.
