If you’re having trouble placing Bachelor in Paradise contestant Ali Oetjen, you’ll need to cast your mind back to 2013 when The Bachelor Australia all began.
Because before there was Matty J doubling over in pain, before Nikki’s brutally painful-looking smile, there was Ali’s tearful breakdown.
The then-27-year-old was the original favourite – the first bachelor/bachelorette that Australia backed to win and was shocked to see be rejected – when Tim Robards broke her heart in the first ever Bachelor Australia season.
Coming second runner-up behind eventual winner Anna Heinrich (who's now engaged to Tim) and runner-up Rochelle Emanuel-Smith, Ali took the dumping rather hard.
