1. Fans are convinced Ciarran Stott will be next year’s Bachelor and where do we sign up.

The Bachelorette may have ended, but we still can’t stop thinking about that long-haired British man we all fell in love with, Ciarran Stott.

And now it turns out we may not have to, because Ciarran could very well be next year’s Bachelor. And we couldn’t be more excited.

On Friday, the 25-year-old shared a cryptic Instagram post explaining that he’s moving to Sydney for an exciting new chapter.

“Looks like a fresh new chapter is starting very soon for myself and I can’t wait! Sydney you are on my horizon. New chapter means new beginnings and I’m so excited!” he captioned the post.

Fans were quick to question why Ciarran is moving from Darwin to Sydney of all places. Particularly because Sydney just happens to be where The Bachelor has been filmed since 2013.

“Move to Sydney = Bach 2020?” one person commented.

“I smell Bachelor 2020,” read another.

“HE IS THE BACHELOR 100%,” another said.

Yep, this could very well be our golden ticket ladies, get your applications for Bachie 2020 in now.

2. “It was quite a fun time.” Shane Warne just opened up about his relationship with Elizabeth Hurley.

Shane Warne’s split from British actress Elizabeth Hurley made headlines back in 2013.

Now, Warne has opened up about how the pair navigated the intense media pressure during their roughly three-year relationship.

“When I got together with Elizabeth, that was really odd because I had the sporting media that would follow you then I suppose the entertainment media collide, so every day, anywhere we went we were followed by anywhere between six to ten paparazzi photographers that would run you off the road,” Warne said on the You Cannot Be Serious podcast.

“They would follow you — stop you, two cars in front of you, make you react… my kids in the car were scared one day, too. It was ridiculous.”

The former Australian cricketer explained that the paparazzi followed the couple in Melbourne and more so in the UK.

“Little things like you’d walk out of the house and there’d be six photographers there and I’d have my tracky pants on and a T-shirt and suddenly the next day all the papers would critique you and you’re going, ‘What?’ Who gives a s***, really.”

“That was sort of weird but we used to laugh about it. Elizabeth laughed about it, I laughed about it, but it was quite a fun time.”

The pair first met at Goodwood Racecourse back in 2010 and Warne said he “played it calmly and nicely”.

“We crossed paths and hit it off straight away,” he said.

Even now, six years after their breakup, the pair still remain on good terms.

“She’s still a very good friend, we still speak all the time. She’s great.”

3. Say it isn't so: An old Instagram comment suggests The Bachelorette's Carlin Sterritt may have been previously interested in Tara Pavlovic.

Oh.

It would appear The Bachelorette winner Carlin Sterritt was previously interested in another Bachelor star and yes, it’s franchise favourite Tara Pavlovic.

An Instagram comment written by Carlin has been resurfaced by someone with a.) seriously impressive investigative skills and b.) too much time on their hands.

The comment shows him writing ‘Stunning’ on Tara Pavlovic’s Instagram post while she was on Matty J’s season of The Bachelor.

In a screenshot published by Daily Mail, it shows Gogglebox duo Angie and Yvie also commented on the same post, writing, “We think you're bloody swell lady.” Which is a weird coincidence given Angie Kent and Carlin are now dating after meeting on The Bachelorette.

And look, given the entire nation had basically fallen in love with Tara at this point, as she came third on the season, we can’t exactly blame Carlin.

4. "Welcome to the family, kid." Just all the best pics from Sylvia Jeffreys' baby shower.

Over the weekend, Channel Nine journalist and TV presenter Sylvia Jeffreys celebrated the impending arrival of her first child with fellow journalist Peter Stefanovic with a very wholesome baby shower.

Other familiar faces in attendance at the seemingly low-key shower held at Jeffreys’ Double Bay home were Nine colleagues Jayne Azzopardi and Tracy Vo, footwear designer Jasmine Stefanovic, fashion designer Rebecca Vallance and Jeffreys’ mum Janine.

5. 37 years ago, Henry Thomas played Elliott in E.T. This is what his life looks like now.

Steven Spielberg’s 1982 film, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial is a family classic.

Its star, 10-year-old Henry Thomas, captured the world’s heart in the role of Elliott, a sweet-faced, fearless young boy who formed an unlikely friendship with an alien.

But all these years later, what is the actor up to?

How Henry Thomas landed the role of a lifetime.

Henry Thomas was born in 1971, in San Antonio, Texas.

He landed his debut role, playing Harry in the Raggedy Man, in 1981 before winning the role of a lifetime in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.

Surprisingly, Thomas was not originally cast as Elliott. After they began filming the movie, the original boy picked for the role began playing up on set and they had to let him go.

Thomas flew out from Texas to audition and it was without question that he was the perfect fit. Speaking to Esquire in 2012, Thomas said his performance that day made everyone – including Spielberg – cry.

“I read a scene from some early version of the script, and then I was asked to do an improvisation,” he said. “I think the gist of the improv was, ‘You found someone, and they’re going to take them away from you, and it’s your friend, and you really don’t want your friend to go away.’ So I started crying, and really going for it I guess.”
