Australian Survivor's Lee and El confirm the relationship we've all been waiting for.

While a remote island with little to no comforts of home may not seem like the likeliest place to find love, it seems to have done the trick for Australian Survivor competitors Lee Carseldine and El Rowland.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Tuesday, 40-year-old Carseldine admitted that, “Outside of the show, it’s all about getting to know each other.”

Both members of the original Aganoa tribe, the pair has been tight from day one and formed an alliance early in the game.

When the tribes merged from three to two, both were picked to join Sanapu and successfully fought their way into the final tribe.

Now, the pair are final three favourites, with Carseldine tipped to win the $500,000 prize money.

And while Carseldine says love wasn't what either he or 33-year-old army corporal and mum-of-one Rowland went looking for on the show, it's something neither were disappointed to find.

“It was more about Survivor," he explained, "But obviously you’re always open to it, you've never shut down any doors. El and I formed a really strong bond the whole time we were on the island.

"We went through hell, and got on like a house on fire,” he added.

"It’s been a bit of a whirlwind, trying to get back to work and into real life," the former-test-cricketer said, explaining that living in the same city has made spending time with Rowland easier.

“We’re both from Brissie so we try and catch up time to time, she’s got little Darcy and I’ve got my boys,” Carseldine explained.
