A number of year 12 students have been able to access their ATAR, subject and study scores five days early because of a technical glitch at the Victoria Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC).
VTAC administers the application process for tertiary courses, and calculates and issues ATAR scores.
In a posting on a closed Facebook page called VCE discussion space, one girl said she texted to make sure she was registered to get her results on Monday and received a text message giving her all of her results.
There was open discussion about the leak on the Facebook page.
“Someone at VCAA is going to get fired lol,” one post said.
At least three other people have also reported being able to get their scores early.
The problem appeared to have been detected because students were no longer able to get results.
A spokeswoman for the Education Minister, James Merlino said he was aware of the problem and was looking into it.
