If you've never thought about or heard the name Ashley Biden before, I'm right there with you.

But alas, Joe Biden's daughter is making headlines this week for her rather chaotic online behaviour off the back of her high-profile divorce.

Ashley is a social worker, activist, and the creative force behind the ethical fashion brand Livelihood, but she's also just a girl in the midst of a messy divorce.

This First Daughter was married to Dr. Howard Krein, a plastic surgeon and business executive. Then, after 13 years of marriage, Ashley filed for divorce from her husband on August 11 in Philadelphia. But things soon took a chaotic turn.

In a since-deleted Instagram Story, Ashley posted a photo, taken from behind, of a man and a woman holding hands. Umm, what am I looking at here, Ash?

Over the top, she reportedly wrote the caption "My husband and his girlfriend holding hands," with a red heart emoji.

OOFT. Okay, I am seated.

If her message wasn't clear enough, she posted the image with the Notorious B.I.G. song 'Another' featuring Lil' Kim. Yep, she did that.

If you're not familiar, it's a song detailing an… affair. This is about as subtle as a brick through your ex's car window, and honestly, what a choice.

From the outside, this couple seemed to have a solid, albeit private partnership. So when news of their separation and subsequent divorce emerged, a lot of questions were raised.

Such as: what other songs would perfectly soundtrack this divorce?

Ashley has got you covered. On the very day she filed for divorce, Ashley dropped a couple of Instagram Stories.

First, we got a shot of her strolling through a park, giving the camera a big ol' thumbs-up with Beyoncé's 'Freedom' blaring in the background. Again, super subtle.

She continued that theme, posting a quote that read "New life, new beginnings, means new boundaries. New ways of being that won't look or sound like they did before." And the song choice for this one? 'Freedom Time' by the one and only Lauryn Hill.

Okay girl, we get it.

This isn't the first time that this couple's private drama has become public fodder, either.

In a super gross violation of privacy, Ashley's journal was stolen and its contents were sold to a right-wing activist group, who then illegally published it online back in 2020.

In those entries, she reportedly wrote about her marital issues and the unhappiness she was experiencing in her marriage with Krein.

But with the recent social media activity, it looks like Ashley is ready to take her power back — and she has a lot to say.

Even if she doesn't use her actual words… just R&B bangers.
