The wildest moments from the 2023 ARIA Awards, one of the most chaotic awards shows in recent memory.

The biggest night in Australian music aka the ARIA Awards definitely, err... happened last night. 

It really was one of the most chaotic awards shows in recent memory. 

Unlike previous years, which have only aired on a free-to-air TV network, this year's ceremony was also streamed live on Stan, YouTube and aired on Channel 9. 

This year's awards were filmed in Sydney's Hordern Pavilion and hosted by Brooke Boney and Tommy Little. 

The likes of G Flip, Chrishell Stause, Jessica Mauboy, and Troye Sivan converged on the venue to celebrate another year of sensational Australian music.

Red carpet host Christian Wilkins opted for a naked look.

Proving that dresses and shirts that cover your nipples are so last season, Christian Wilkins kick-started the red carpet by arriving in a completely sheer bedazzled dress. 

He pulled it off and accompanied the look with a nude g-string and platform boots. 

The ARIAs have truly begun.

And she looks phenomenal.

Australia's ultimate power couple did not disappoint with their bold outfits.

G Flip and Chrishell Stause were the coolest couple on the red carpet.

Selling Sunset hive, rise! The show's favourite couple, Australia's own G Flip and realtor Chrishell Stause, blessed us with their presence. 

The couple left their base in Los Angeles to head down to Sydney as G Flip was nominated for multiple awards including 'Best Australian Live Act' (which they won). 

Dami Im reminded us all that (sadly) the peplum will never die.

Fresh off being unmasked on The Masked Singer, Dami Im is sharing some harsh fashion truths. 

Troye Sivan came as your rich aunt on Christmas.

Your boujie aunt is probably jealous of this chic look from Australian treasure, Troye Sivan, bravely bringing the underrated aesthetic of nice slacks and a fancy top to the ARIAs.  

G Flip opened the show with a low-key dedication to Chrishell Stause.

G Flip opened the show and performed 'Good Enough' with Chrishell in the crowd cheering them on the whole time. 

The awards began and Tommy Little made a lot of awkward jokes.

Tommy Little offered a few off-colour jokes throughout the evening. He started by making a joke suggesting that celebs did cocaine in the cubicles.

He then said a bizarre thing about the music he plays as a radio host on the Hit Network. "Even if it's shit, if we play it on my station, I love it," he said in his opening monologue. 

Little then brought Troye Sivan on stage to tell him 'Rush' was ineligible for 'Best Video' as it was filmed in Germany. Lovely! 

At one point, Tommy and Brooke cut to Genesis Owusu who didn't seem to know why he was appearing in a televised segment. He would go on to win for 'Best Independent Release' and 'Best Hip Hop/Rap Release'. 

Halfway through the awards, Tommy told a long, convoluted story about hosting an event at Rod Laver Arena and failing to stage-dive. 

The punchline fell flat. 

Marcia Hines definitely read from the wrong teleprompter.

When giving out the award for 'Best Adult Contemporary Album', Marcia stared off to the right, suggesting she was reading from the wrong teleprompter.  

The award was given to Dan Sultan. She got there in the end, looking into the correct camera lens for the following award. Queen behaviour. 

Kylie Minogue wins for 'Best Pop Release'. 

The iconic princess of pop took the award for her anthem 'Padam Padam', accepting the award via video message. 

"Padam to you, padam to everyone!" she said. "Thank you so much Australia for this."

Peach PRC presented an award but did not speak.

The iconic TikToker might have caught stage fright because she remained mute throughout most of the award presentation, with Christian Wilkins doing most of the talking. 

She performed 'Perfect For You' later in the night and her fairy-inspired fashion was perfection. 

A Michael Gudinski award was given out. 

The late Australian music producer and promoter was honoured with an award to pay tribute to him, which was introduced in 2021. 

The 'Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist' award went to Teenage Dads.

Pia Miranda and Jessica Mauboy were the besties we never knew we needed.

As the duo presented 'Best Original Soundtrack', Jessica started singing random Disney songs. You know what? We wouldn't have it any other way. 

Pia and Jessica are both starring in the Stan Original Film, Windcatcher. 

Richard Wilkins randomly held a violin to present an award.

While presenting an award for 'Best Jazz Album', Richard Wilkins held a violin with no explanation. 

Tommy did call out the moment afterwards. "Dickie Wilkins comes out with a violin, doesn't play it and no one asks questions," he mused.
