Josh and Arabella were expecting twins. Then Josh realised the scans were 'a bit fishy'.

This is probably one of the most curious, bizarre and twisty tales in the Australian mid-weight celebrity sphere. It involves an NRL player, a reality star, allegations of three 'fake pregnancies', a fraudulent scheme, jail time and OnlyFans.

So settle in, because we're about to explain the whole thing to you.

What happened between Josh Reynolds and Arabella Del Busso?

Following a one-night stand with Instagram model Arabella Del Busso (real name Donna Preusker), the controversy began when a message pinged on Josh Reynold's phone.

His late-night dalliance had eventuated in a pregnancy — twins — with Del Busso allegedly sending him a message saying, "We have a problem".

While Reynolds could have chosen not to be involved at all, he said instinct kicked in. He told Fox Sports that he didn't really know Arabella but thought, "I've always wanted kids. Why don't we just try and work it out?"

She said she was looking forward to becoming a mother, and the couple even had a gender reveal party.

But, as Reynolds later explained to 60 Minutes, he felt things quickly turned a "bit fishy".

He'd wanted to meet Del Busso's obstetrician but claimed that each time he asked, she "shut it down" — adding that she was stalling on showing him scans.

In January 2019, Del Busso allegedly told Reynolds she had miscarried. It was a devastating blow.

"At that stage, I was so into this whole relationship, baby thing, that I was hurting so much. It broke me," Reynolds said.

Soon after, in March, he alleges Del Busso told him she was pregnant again, but just weeks later, she miscarried. By June, Del Busso was allegedly pregnant once more — twins, again — and the couple were once again over the moon.

Reynolds claimed that Ariana showed him a photo of her 12-week scan, that looked to be fake. "The scans she sent me were off," he said.

Del Busso admitted to showing him a fake ultrasound to be "spiteful", but she denies the claims that the pregnancies were faked.

Soon after their ultrasound argument, Reynolds alleged Del Busso told him her mother had died.

He claims she also told him she had a condition called placenta accreta, a serious pregnancy condition that occurs when the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall.

Reynolds alleges that he decided to visit Del Busso's obstetrician, who said he had no information from her.

Per Fox Sports, she claims to have terminated the third pregnancy, though the timeline would have put her at more than six months pregnant by that stage.

"Is faking pregnancies normal? Is faking your mum's death normal? Making me go through all that. Is it? I would love an answer from her," Reynolds alleged to 60 Minutes.

Josh Reynolds proceeded to end the relationship.

The text read: "I know you have never been pregnant…and all the scans made up on the internet… It's emotional abuse… Get out of my life otherwise the police will take action against you".

Hours later, per Nine, Del Busso took footage of Reynolds allegedly verbally abusing her to the police, claiming she'd experienced domestic violence. When Reynolds went to the police station, he was arrested.

Reynolds denied the claims, saying he would never lay a hand on a woman, but did confess his regret over his behaviour in the video. Nine reports the video was taken four months before Del Busso went to the police.

He was charged but later acquitted of domestic violence.

According to 60 Minutes, Reynolds is not the only ex-boyfriend to have had trouble with Del Busso — reporting that in 2018, a man successfully sued her for fraud and obtaining money by deception.

Del Busso appeared on the 2020 season of SAS Australia. Channel 7 received backlash for casting her, as Del Busso's only notoriety at the time was due to her relationship breakdown with Reynolds.

During the series, she referred to her 'little white lies'.

"I have told a lie but the way that I see it, a little white lie here or there is not going to hurt anyone," she told the show's directing staff.

"I'm sure we all do it, I'm honestly not the only person in the whole of Australia that has told a little white lie here or there. People will judge me no matter what, but they haven't lived my life, they don't know the extent of things that I've been through."

She chose to leave the show the morning after her interrogation.

Arabella Del Busso goes to jail.

Following the controversy with Josh Reynolds, Del Busso found herself in a different type of hot water.

The boxer and model was sentenced to 20 months in prison with a non-parole period of 12 months at the Sutherland Local Court in 2024, after admitting to two charges of stealing as an employee.

She had been a receptionist at Integrated Specialist Medical Care (formally Rheumatology Specialist Care) in 2019 when bosses discovered she had pocketed $52,000.

Channel 7 reported she took over banking responsibilities for the company's two practices, in Kogarah and Randwick, when the manager was on holiday from late December 2019 until the beginning of February 2020.

Upon return, the manager realised the finances did not add up and ordered a full audit, finding that $35,785 was missing from the Kogarah accounts and $16,565 from Randwick.

Del Busso wasn't eligible for release until February 2025, but a judge slashed her sentence to just five months following an emotional handwritten letter.

News.com.au reports that she felt 'broken' and 'violated' by the 'traumatising' experience of being imprisoned. She claimed that her elevated status also made her a target outside of her cell.

"I feel broken, defeated and helpless," the letter reportedly read. "Every day I feel such anxiety and fear about how I will just get through the day."

She walked free in July 2024.

A new chapter.

A year and a half on from her release, Del Busso has been forging forward with a new career.

The 33-year-old, who made a foray into the world of female boxing in 2022, now has an account on OnlyFans. The Daily Mail reports that she took to Instagram to share a post about her new account.

Later in 2025 she will fight boxing icon Monique Bovino.

For now, she posts scantily-clad photos on her Instagram, along with posts about her boxing career.
