"Deadbeat dad." Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce just got even more tangled.

It seems Angelina Jolie is done keeping quiet on the details of her and Brad Pitt’s divorce.

Leaked court documents have already suggested the two actors’ divorce proceedings haven’t exactly been friendly, but notes from Jolie’s lawyers latest filings suggest the extent of the mum’s exasperation.

According to the New York Post, filings from last week label Pitt a “deadbeat dad” and claim he has paid “no meaningful child support” for care of the couple’s six children since the pair separated in 2016.

The 43-year-old wants Pitt to pay half of the children’s expenses, with lawyers saying that he hasn’t paid his fair share so far.

Pitt's lawyers, meanwhile, say that the 54-year-old has paid $1.3 million in bills for their children, as well as loaning her $8 million to buy her new home.

Jolie's lawyer retorted that "a loan is not... child support".

New York Post reporter Emily Smith suggests that Jolie's new offensive tactics may be due to her new lawyers, who have a history of playing dirty.

In June it was exposed in court documents obtained by The Blast that Pitt's lawyers had concerns over the couple's custody arrangements.

The documents set out a strict schedule for how and when the actor would see his kids - Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox - over the US summer. It strongly suggested that the childrens' relationship with their father was in need of repair.

"If the minor children remain closed down to their father and depending on the circumstances surrounding this condition, it may result in a reduction of the time they spend with [Jolie] and may result in the Court ordering primary physical custody to [Pitt]," it read.

A spokesperson for Jolie then labelled the documents "misleading" and blasted those responsible for leaking them as "deplorable".

"This misleading leak is not in the best interests of the children," the statement read.

"From the start, Angelina has been focused only on their health and needs, which is why it was so important that this last court hearing be conducted privately."

It seems the actress and her representatives have now changed their minds on what should and shouldn't be made public.

Neither Pitt, Jolie nor their representatives have made public comments on this latest turn.
