Well, well, well, if it isn't Hollywood's hottest new couple. Maybe.

In news that is completely unconfirmed but entirely delicious, Hollywood might have a brand-new power couple on their hands: Andrew Garfield and Demi Moore.

These reports are based on nothing but vibes and good old source quotes… so our time with what I'm calling 'MoorField' may be fleeting, but our obsession will be forever. Allow me to explain.

Celebrity gossip monger Deuxmoi has reported that Garfield and Moore are currently spending time together at her home in Sun Valley, Idaho.

"Deuxmoi readers have spotted the pair together not once, but twice in Idaho, further igniting speculation about a potential relationship," the publication claimed. "One eagle-eyed source caught Garfield and Moore attending a fundraiser in the Gem State, while another spotted them enjoying a day on the slopes at a local ski mountain."

The reported sightings follow on from the Golden Globe Awards on January 6, where Garfield presented Moore with her Best Actress Award for her role in The Substance. As she gave a phenomenal speech about her career, Garfield cheered her on alongside his fellow presenter, Kerry Washington.

They were later seen hugging as she made the rounds of the room, and an after-party snap did show Moore with her arm draped around Garfield. The duo were also both previously at the Toronto International Film Festival (for work, I might add).

Now.

There are a few things to consider here.

First of all, people can have pals. I know that's a shocking concept, but people really do have friends — they actually made a whole sitcom about it.

Second of all, the internet accuses Andrew Garfield of dating almost every woman he encounters. He is charm personified and maybe we (the internet) just want to date him so we're living vicariously through relationship rumours? A likely story.

Thirdly, Deuxmoi is entirely built on the concept of 'blind items'. Meaning, people text in "hey, I saw this thing happen" and that's really all the fact-checking they need to do.

More than a few Deuxmoi posts have been proven to be entirely false over time… though, it has to be said, they are often first to break news in the world of celebrity relationships because it's kind of a sheer numbers game. Post enough blind items, some are bound to be true.

But, in the case of MoorField it does appear Deuxmoi had a few anonymous sources reach out to say they'd seen the actors around town. Which adds a certain intrigue to the situation, I'll admit.

This loose story has all the hallmarks of an old-school tabloid report — there were some photos of the pair on-stage at the Globes, followed by some so-called 'flirty' snaps at the afterparty. The obvious next step is to take those images and craft a story about their burgeoning romance. It's a tale as old as tabloid time.

But… what if?

If these alleged sightings turn out to be true, I can say I will be standing firmly behind MoorField as their biggest fan.

Moore, 62, has certainly had her ups and downs in the romance department. Garfield, 41, was all-too-vocal on the press tour for his film, We Live In Time, about his hopes of finding love. They deserve this.

Two single and talented hotties hooking up after meeting at an awards show? This is the Hollywood dream. Time will tell if it's also… a reality.
