
Amy Schumer has openly shared details of her Ozempic use in the past, as well as slamming celebrities who keep their own weight-loss drug regimens hidden in the shadows.
But the actress also made it clear that she stopped taking it soon after she started — and now, she has explained why.

In a recent interview on The Howard Stern Show, the 43-year-old explained, "I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy.
"So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was, like, bedridden. I was like, vomiting — and then you have no energy."
Though the actor lost around 13kg while taking the drug, the side effects of the Type II diabetes medication were too debilitating — and the actress felt as if she was "shrivelling away" due to extreme nausea.
"I lost 30 pounds so quick," she added. "I looked great, but I couldn't lift my head off the pillow. So, what's the point?"
Schumer clarified that while she herself had a bad experience with Ozempic, plenty of other people have found it helpful.
