Comedian Amy Schumer has cancelled her Australian tour just five days before it was set to begin in Perth, citing illness as the reason for the last minute decision.
The 35-year-old was scheduled to perform in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, before flying to New Zealand to perform in Auckland on December 17.
Fans will be refunded for their tickets within 10 days.
A press release stated that the shows could not be rescheduled, due to Schumer’s many commitments.
“Live Nation regret to announce that Amy Schumer’s December tour dates will not go ahead due to illness,” read the press release.
“Unfortunately, due to Amy Schumer’s tight schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates however, we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical.”
Schumer has not yet personally commented on the cancellation of her Australian tour.
Her last visit to Australia in 2015 was to promote her debut film Trainwreck, and while here, she did a one-off stand up show in Melbourne.
