After a two-year hiatus, the American Music Awards are officially back on our screens, and we are beyond ready.
Hosted by Jennifer Lopez, for the first time, the awards are being broadcast from Las Vegas, rather than Los Angeles. And, as it is Memorial Day in the States, these AMAs will feature special tributes to U.S. troops and veterans.
Along with JLo, the show will see performances from some big names, including Icon award-recipient Janet Jackson, Lifetime Achievement award-recipient Rod Stewart, backflipping belter Benson Boone, country singer Blake Shelton, powerhouse Reneé Rap, and more.
Watch: Taylor Swift is named 'Artist of the Decade' at the 2019 AMAs. Post continues below.
Unlike awards like the Grammys, which are voted on by the Recording Academy, the AMAs are chosen by the fans. And there's some stiff competition this year. With 10 nominations, Kendrick Lamar currently leads the pack, followed by Post Malone, Billie Eilish, and Chappell Roan.
If you want to watch the AMAs live from Australia, you will need to purchase the Showtime tier of Paramount+. The awards will air at 10am for those in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, and Canberra; 9.30am for those in Adelaide and Darwin, and 8am for those in Perth.
