5 beauty lessons we've learned from Amal Alamuddin

Some day, we ought to write George Clooney a great big thank you letter. If it wasn’t for his relationship, proposal and subsequent Big Flashy Venice Wedding, we probably wouldn’t have discovered our new favourite style icon, Amal Alamuddin.

In addition to being an acclaimed international human rights lawyer and author, Amal looks consistently gorgeous, made all the more impactful by the fact that looking good is not her job.

Not that there’s anything wrong with staring wistfully at actresses all day – but seeing how a professional at the top of her game presents herself can be so much more rewarding.

With that in mind, here’s what we’ve picked up from Amal so far.

But our final lesson is… When in doubt, keep it classic.

While there's been much debate about whether or not Amal's wedding dress is boring in our office, there's one thing we all agree on. Her face is flawless. She's applied all five of the previous rules, accentuating her gorgeous hair, playing up her olive skin tone, keeping her eyes bright and neatly lined, and letting those bold brows of hers sing, and it all came together so, so well on the big day.
