Freezing cold. Hungry. Wet. On the edge of illness. Clothes ripped. Scared.
Alone.
This is the reality for the brave contestants who put their lives on the line in the hugely popular series, Alone on Stan. Yes, it sounds like insanity to put your body through such turmoil but when there's a USD$500,000 cash prize waiting for the last standing contestant — you'll push the limits.
After debuting in 2015, Alone has returned for an 11th US season on Stan and this time the stakes are even higher.
Touted as the most remote location to date, season 11 sees 10 contestants choppered into the Arctic Circle and left to fend for themselves in the harsh wilderness.
Who will be the last person left alone? If you're not already watching this show on Stan, you really should be.
What happens on Alone?
As the name suggests, this reality TV series is all about being completely isolated in order to test your willpower, prowess, and physical endurance.
10 contestants have been dropped into a remote wilderness area and are expected to fend for themselves only using basic tools and provisions. Contestants have been separated so they won't come in contact with each other and had to quickly find shelter after being dropped in by a helicopter.
