Four definitive signs The Bachelorette's Ali and Taite are no longer together.

Yes, well.

We need to discuss a matter of national significance.

You may recall that at the end of this season of The Bachelorette, Ali Oetjen and Taite Radley declared their undying, six-week love to each other.

They then rode off into the sunset, eating protein balls/talking about leg day, and lived happily ever after.

Or… did they? 

You see, although the bachie couple are publicly saying they’re still together, things seem… fishy.

A lil’ bit suss if you will.

So, like any good spotlight journalist, I did some investigatin’.

Here are all the clues Ali and Taite are definitely maybe possibly no longer together:

1. They’re contractually obligated to stay together for three months.

A few weeks ago, our good friend and Osher traitor Honey Badger, let slip that bachie couples are contractually obligated to stay together for three months after the finale airs.

“People are so brainwashed, you’re not going to get your fairytale ending every time,” he told ABC Radio National.

“What’s more important: me just saying ‘yes’ and going through the motions and dragging some girl through all the media about how we’re in love and then three months down the track after the contract’s over, we’re allowed to break up?” he continued.

“That’s happened [in the past]. I wasn’t going to do that because I have respect for the girl,” he added.

Yep, said member of the small weasel family just basically confirmed the longest-running rumour about the bachie franchise. That means Ali and Taite could just be staying together – or pretending to stay together – until their three months is up.

Given that the finale aired on November 15, Ali and Taite will be able to publicly announce their breakup on February 15.

2. There be rumours… and leaked emails.

Like all bachie couples, Ali and Taite’s brief relationship has been punctuated with rumours. And there’s been some absolute doozies.

Basically, some “friends” of the couple believe they’re always very close to breaking up, that Ali is controlling, and that Taite is just in it for the free stuff.

A “friend” of Taite reportedly suggested that the couple’s relationship wasn’t genuine.

“Taite is only sticking around to get his Instagram numbers up and enjoy the perks of paid posts and free holidays,” the source told New Idea.

“As soon as that starts to dry up, he will be gone.”

Then, an email between Taite and a talent manager was leaked and it was a lil’ bit cringe-y.

The email, which was full of spelling errors, made many believe the couple are just together for the publicity opportunities.

Taite’s email read: “Across both our pages combined we had close to 2milion [sic] visits over 7 days.

“Being both into Heath [sic] and fitness, we’re both looking at getting some good management to help strengthen our brand.

“We are currently getting offers but are unsure how to handel [sic] them.”

Then, a “friend” told New Idea Ali was controlling and Taite was ready to leave.

“He has quickly realised how demanding Ali is when it comes to managing the public’s perception of her and, of course, that now includes their relationship too. Taite is at his wits’ end and just wants out,” the source who’s quite possibly Bill and/or Charlie said.

“At one point Taite wanted to grow his beard back and when Ali noticed she was furious with him,” the source told the publication.

“She basically told him that he couldn’t do anything like that without permission and that his stubble suited their brand so he had to keep it.”

According to New Idea, Ali also expects Taite to check in by phone hourly and to have any outfits pre-approved before public outings.

3. Ali’s suss Instagram posts.

In the last 24 hours, Ali has posted two suss posts on Instagram.

In the first photo, Ali is posed contemplatively, standing alone, looking off into the distance.

But it’s the caption that has fans of the couple worried.

“Be bold enough to use your voice, brave enough to listen to your heart & strong enough to live the life you’ve always imagined,” she writes.

“Literally felt like I was on top of the world #chasingdreams #standstrong #strongwomen #skyhigh #healthymind #focus #skyhighmountfranklin.”

In the second post, Ali is alone under a tree.

But there’s no… Taite.

4. Ali’s weird response when asked whether she’d found someone.

Before and during The Bachelorette, when Ali was asked whether she’d found someone on the show, she’d deflect the question.

When I spoke to her on the premiere day she very much dodged the question.

When I asked whether she did find Mr Right, Ali was coy… and then she started singing.

“I’m very happy… I’m glowing… I’m at peace… I’m singing on the promo.” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
