3 women tried the skincare duo Kim Kardashian swears by.

When Kim Kardashian shares something online, it's basically a public service announcement.

So when she casually posted a photo of ALASTIN products on her Instagram, captioned "Love this brand so much," the masses took note. Naturally, I wanted to find out what could make one of the busiest women on the planet stop mid-glam routine to show off her skincare favourites.

In case you missed it, I'm talking about ALASTIN's HA Immerse Serum (RRP $180) and Restorative Eye Complex (RRP $150). The kind of duo that promises hydration and is clinically backed to deliver regenerative skincare on a whole other level.

The serum works overtime — a pure, high-molecular-weight form of hyaluronic acid that drenches the skin instantly, then helps it lock in that hydration for up to 24 hours.

The eye complex focuses on reducing the appearance of puffiness, dark circles and fine lines, powered by TriHex Technology, a peptide blend that helps support collagen and elastin while brightening the tone around the eyes.

For this four-week trial, I teamed up with two fellow skincare enthusiasts, Raffaella and Isabelle, to see if ALASTIN's hype holds up beyond a celebrity bathroom shelfie.

So, how did it go? I'll go first. 

Lamle: Combination and oily skin.

On the first night I applied the serum, I was too stunned to speak. It was instantly refreshing, cooling and hydrating, like my skin had just drunk some electrolytes. The glow was immediate — that glassy, reflective kind you can't fake.

Next up was the eye complex. I've tried plenty of eye creams and serums that sting, clog or make my eyes burn, but this one didn't. It tingled a little on the first day, but by day two it vanished. In its place came a smoother and brighter-looking appearance.

To give this combo a fair shot, I paused my usual skincare routine. No other serums, no backup hydrators, just ALASTIN. And it held its own.

I started the trial during my luteal phase, the time of the month when my skin usually stages a rebellion with dullness and breakouts as weapons of choice. Yet my complexion looked noticeably clearer.

By the end of week two, I genuinely did a double-take because I thought I had concealer on. My skin looked radiant and bouncy.

After four weeks, both products have officially earned their place in my routine. My combination skin loves this stuff. And the best part? It sits perfectly under makeup. I'd even say it enhances it because my base looks smoother and glowier. 

And as much as I claim Kim K's never influenced me, she definitely did this time.

Raffaella: Normal to dry skin.

As a 36-year-old with skin that tends to flirt between normal and dry, I'm always on the hunt for products that can simplify my routine whilst delivering real results.

Full disclosure: I'm pretty lazy when it comes to makeup and skincare, and I've always favoured a less-is-more approach. A six-step routine? Not for me.

When I started my four-week trial of the serum and eye cream, I was cautiously hopeful it would deliver results.

I really didn't expect what followed.

By the end of week one, I noticed something had shifted. My skin looked more radiant, with a subtle glow and plumpness that hadn't been there before. But it was week two when things really came into force.

The real game-changer was the eye cream. I'd been struggling with sleep in the weeks leading up to using the products, and those eye bags were becoming a thing. The eye cream genuinely helped tackle this issue, giving me a refreshed look.

What impressed me most was how these products fit into my low-maintenance beauty philosophy. The lightweight formulas absorbed quickly into my skin — no sticky residue or lengthy waiting times. This efficiency meant the products were doing the heavy lifting, not me.

By the end of my month-long trial, my makeup routine had been completely transformed. Where I once relied on a full coverage foundation, I found myself barely applying any at all. Light coverage, lips and eyes were suddenly enough. My skin looked so naturally healthy that heavy makeup felt unnecessary.

For someone who values simplicity without compromising results, ALASTIN delivered exactly what I needed: effective skincare that works behind the scenes. Consider me a convert.

Isabelle: Sensitive skin.

As someone who recently turned 30 and still insists on cosplaying as a 20-something, I've hit that stage where I'm serious about future-proofing my skin… without a 47-step routine that drains my bank account.

I committed to using both products morning and night after cleansing. In the first week, I noticed a bit more texture — a moment where past-me would've panicked — but I stuck with it.

By week four, my skin appeared smoother, plumper and properly hydrated. Fine lines under my eyes looked softer, and despite a busy month (chaotic workout schedule, getting sick, sleep all over the shop), my complexion looked brighter and more even.

Now, yes — these sit on the pricier end. But genuinely, if simplifying your skincare means swapping five products for two that actually do something, the maths kind of maths. Plus, I was surprisingly liberal with my application and still have plenty left in both bottles.

For someone with sensitive skin, the lack of irritation is a big green tick. Luxe products, actual results and a routine that feels grown-up without feeling high-maintenance? It's a yes from me.

Hydration: 10 out of 10.
