The Jonas Brothers' new movie is like 'Camp Rock' meets 'I'll Be Home For Christmas'.

Before we even get into the details of this masterpiece, I need to come clean: I am a MASSIVE Jonas Brothers fan. I was deep in Disney culture back in the day — the purity rings, the Jonas dating dramas, the whole shebang.

So, when I tell you that A Very Jonas Christmas Movie hits all the right nostalgic notes, you need to trust me. This is the festive, camp, and utterly chaotic holiday goodness we all secretly wanted. Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas — now global superstars and dads — are giving us all the nostalgic, silly vibes. And honestly? I'm here for the cringe.

Let's unpack this tinsel-wrapped fever dream of a movie.

So, are The Jonas Brothers playing The Jonas Brothers in the movie? The short answer is YES. Nick, Joe, and Kevin all appear as versions of themselves — very heightened versions of themselves, I'll admit — the most famous boy band brothers in the world.

The official synopsis sets the scene for a predictable yet very jolly Christmas movie: The brothers "face a series of escalating obstacles… as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families."

It's literally Camp Rock meets I'll Be Home For Christmas.

Their simple plan to fly home for the holidays quickly unravels into a chain of travel mishaps, missed connections, and unexpected obstacles. Think: missed flights, lost luggage, and a very suspicious amount of chaos. As the disruptions escalate, the boys realise Santa (played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson, bless him) might actually be behind it all — testing their patience, their unbreakable bond, and their ability to focus on what truly matters.

Naturally, the Jonas Brothers are front and centre, and yes, their actual families are in it — including their real-life wives and kids. But let's talk about the true star: Frankie Jonas is there!!! We love Frankie, the youngest brother, getting his moment in the limelight. It's all so deeply, wonderfully meta.

Nick plays the responsible leader who is a little too intense and stressed about everything. Joe is the airy-fairy middle child who is constantly galavanting. Kevin is the overlooked, underappreciated older brother who just wants to sing his little heart out. And spoiler alert: HE DOES. We finally get to hear his beautiful voice — well, since 'I Left My Heart in Scandinavia' (if you know, you know) — and it's stunning. His voice almost feels like a blend between Joe and Nick. The best of both worlds!

Don't come for me, but I have officially decided that Kevin Jonas is the best Jonas Brother. Once upon a time I was a Joe girl, but since their 2019 comeback (and this new film), I have been converted.

The cameos are also unhinged in the best way possible: Billie Lourd, Laverne Cox, Randall Park, K.J. Apa, and the utterly brilliant Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Santa himself. Oh, and yes, even Will Ferrell pops in as the ultimate Jonas Brothers fan girl.

Let me be honest with you, this movie is so silly, fun, and camp. Is it cringy? FOR SURE. But that's kind of what I expected wanted. It's a proper guilty pleasure watch.

Crucially, the film is totally self-aware, too. There are literal nods to the infamous Camp Rock 2 dancing — a moment I nearly choked on my hot chocolate during — and they are making fun of themselves continuously.

Overall, it's just perfect. They are embracing the nostalgia and the cringe that we, the OG fans, know and love.

Here's my biggest hot take — and it feels crazy to say this about a Jonas Brothers movie: I honestly think it would've been a better movie without the music.

The constant bursting into song feels very out of place and, let's be real, the songs themselves are pretty cringey. But here's the flip side: I love that the Jonas Brothers are embracing the cringe and the nostalgia so completely. They know what they are and they're proud.

And a quick note on acting: Even though Nick is supposedly the "actor" in the group (hello, Jumanji and Broadway), I weirdly thought he was the worst one in this. Sorry, Nick.

This movie isn't trying to be an award-winning Christmas masterpiece (if that even exists). But it is what it is: a fantastic guilty pleasure Christmas watch. Dare I say, I might be adding this to my annual Christmas watch list.

It's festive, it's fun, and it's genuinely hilarious. Embrace the camp this season.
