Your weekend sorted: every '80s and '90s movie you should watch on Netflix.

Netflix. What did we ever do without it? It’s the source of gripping TV series, thought-provoking documentaries and the best new releases.

With all the great original content on the streaming service, you easily forget there is a goldmine of classic movies including these ’80s and ’90s flicks that are perfect for vegging out to.

Listen: The Netflix show that has been influencing your life all along.

Some of these movies you’ve probably seen numerous times, others you might not have heard of. All of them deserve a viewing.

Stepmom (1998)

Prepare to cry – more than once – during this heartwarming film about a mother who must accept the new woman in her ex-husband’s life. Julie Roberts and Susan Sarandon’s performances are perfect.

The Craft (1996)

A movie about teen witches sure to induce flashbacks to your angsty high school days. It’s a thriller of sorts, but definitely tame enough to watch with the lights out.

Jerry Maguire (1996)

So many iconic lines. Rewatch this one just so you can be reminded how much you used to love Tom Cruise.

Pretty Woman (1990)

Guys, it's Pretty Woman. Need I say more.

Baby Boom (1987)

Diane Keaton stars as a high-flying corporate professional who gets saddled with her distant cousin's toddler after he dies.

The Parent Trap (1998)

Watch Lindsay Lohan as an 11-year-old cutie playing twins who just discovered each other existed - and that their parents have been lying to them their whole lives.

Mystic Pizza (1988)

This movie was Julia Robert's start and if you haven't watched it, please do yourself a favour. It's a sweet story about two sisters and their friend as they transition into adulthood and face everything that comes with it.

Cruel Intentions (1999)

Before there was Chuck Bass, there was Sebastian Valmont. Both are slick, often cruel, seducers. Drama-lovers will enjoy watching this one, which also stars a young Reese Witherspoon.

Look Who's Talking (1989)

John Travolta and Kirstie Alley are the leads in this fun comedy about a baby who's trying to help his single mum out with her love life.

Overboard (1987)

Wealthy snob Joanna Stayton (Goldie Hawn) has lost her memory and is in the hands of a man (Kurt Russell) who she's just pissed off. But don't worry - this is a comedy.

Clueless (1995)

Who hasn't watched Clueless and wished they had a high-tech outfit planning wardrobe just like Cher? Before Mean Girls, it was the ultimate high school comedy.

You wanted this wardrobe. (Paramount Pictures)

When Harry Met Sally (1989)

Can men and women ever really just be friends? Meg Ryan (Sally) and Billy Crystal (Harry) are about to find out.

My Best Friends Wedding (1997)

Another Julia Roberts flick (I'm sorry, she just makes great movies). This time the actress is playing the rather unlikeable Julianne Potter trying to break up her friend's engagement.

Aladdin (1992)

Netflix has gotten its hands on a few newer Disney flicks, but I was surprised to spot a classic. If you don't already own it on DVD (which I do, let's be honest) it's worth a watch.

Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)

Watch as Hugh Grant creates the character he will go on to play in approximately a dozen more romantic comedies. You know - awkward and British.

Matilda (1996)

Did watching the stage show last year make you nostalgic for the original '90s gem? You're in luck.

Sleepless in Seattle (1993)

My favourite will-they-won't-they unapologetically romantic film, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

And if you're not in the mood for a chick flick (or are watching with a guy), give these titles a go. Take it from a self-confessed girly girl, you'll both enjoy watching these movies.

Good Will Hunting (1997)
Pulp Fiction (1994)
ET (1982)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)
A Few Good Men (1992)
Face Off (1997)
Lethal Weapon 1 (1987)
Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)
Lethal Weapon 3 (1992)
Silence of The Lambs (1991)

Enjoy!
