The biggest baby naming trends we'll see in 2018 have been announced.

We’ve tried everything to make 2017 feel like less of a disaster of a year. So much so, that parents-to-be will reportedly be opting for more “virtuous” and “positive” names for their babies, in an attempt to will something good out of next year and salvage what’s left of humanity.

It seems like a large task at hand, but… what have we got to lose?

More than a quarter of mums surveyed by UK parenting Website Channel Mum expressed their desire to name their children optimistic names like “Hope”, “Faith”, “Felicity”, and “Saint”, mirroring their apparent faith in the world that things can only get better from here on out… hopefully.

As for “Saint”, we’re pretty sure we have Kim Kardashian’s influence to thank for that one.

Other 2018 baby name trends include…

Wren

Phoenix

Paloma

So what about the names that have been predicted to decrease in popularity in 2018?

Among other worn out names like Maisy, Kia, Olivia, Oliver, Alfie, Amelia, Isla, Jack, Arlo, and Lily, you guessed it… we’ll be saying goodbye to the name “Donald” next year.

And on that pleasing note, we warmly welcome the predicted 2018 baby name trends and the oh-so virtuous year to come!
