It’s been 20 years since Princess Diana was killed in a limousine in a Paris tunnel, when it crashed carrying her and her lover, Dodi al-Fayed.
She left behind 15-year-old William, and 12-year-old Harry.
But now, Diana’s two sons have decided to honour her at Kensington Palace, commissioning a statue to be erected outside their official London home.
“It has been 20 years since our mother’s death and the time is right to recognise her positive impact in the UK and around the world with a permanent statue,” Prince William said.
